You can go to Ikebukuro station very easy. So many shopping places and restaurants nearby. Hotel staffs are good in service. However, there is only one escalator from ground floor to the lobby on the 2nd floor, which go in one direction during specific time. The breakfast is good. Worth to try.

The location of hotel is superb, right next to Ikebukuro Station with many shops around. Facilities is a bit old but generally maintained at a good standard. We are looking for a room with 3 beds, which is not easy to find. Compared with another hotel with 3 beds in Takadanobaba, the size of this room is larger so that we can open 4 luggages at the same time. The down side of this hotel is that there is only 1 escalator (width just enough for 1 person) from entrance to lobby, no elevator. Need to walk the stairs if the escalator is not working in the direction as you are going.

Highly recommended. Hotel was near to Narita airport bus Ikebukuro West, shopping, eateries,JR and subway. Super convenient and cookie point, there’s a family mart attached and full stocks. Hotel is located at level 2 with only 1 escalator ( haha) but the hotel staff can swift it up or down if you are with luggages. Hotel is dated but clean and comfortable probably because constantly refurbish or maintenance. Thank you to the hotel receptions and housekeeping at Daiichi Inn Ikebukuro. We will come back soon

Hotel location is very convenient which is near the JR station.

Excellent location with lots of affordable eateries & shopping nearby. Ikebukuro Station is about 5min walk away - East (North Gate) Exit. Room was clean, well equipped, comfortable & a good size by Japanese standards. Only negatives are lack of English tv channels, intermittently unstable wifi, and sound proofing could be a little better. Would definitely stay again.

Very convenient. The location is great. It is next to ikebukuro station. The staff is very nice. You can leave the luggage at the hotel when you leave outside Tokyo as well. Highly recommended!

Staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke good English, which was great for me. The room was a good size for one person but might be a little bit of a squeeze for two. A little noise from the train line nearby but easy to sleep through, especially if you have ear plugs. Close to lots of great shopping and activities in Ikebukuro and a short walk to the station. It's a great choice if you're a solo traveler on a budget but like to have their own space.

We booked a triple room n the room is good with proper bed. Will stay here again

Ended up extending my stay cause I loved it so much. The bathroom is a bit small but the AC was nice and cold!!

Hotel is a bit old but location & service is superb
