Our unit is very updated overlooking the marina and very clean. We had an early check in at 2pm which is great. The resort is quiet and tranquil. Golf courses are nearby and walking distance to IGA and a restaurant. We will be back. Thank you, lovely lady in the reception, sorry I can't remember her name.

I have been a timeshare owner for 38 years and made good use of timeshares around Australia. Great Location, the unit was tidy and clean with all essentials needed. On the down side.... the lounge was very uncomfortable, the shower was inside the spa bath which made it quite difficult and dangerous for an elderly person to climb in and out. The winter electric blanket was still on the bed which we consider to be a health hazzard with many guests coming and going during summer. Although the grounds, roads, gardens and units are clean, they are tired. Summing up..... In need of a good amount of TLC and upgrade to make positive use of the Maintenance Levies paid.

Loved staying here. Have not been able to for several years because of health problems,. The staff are so supportive and I love the area of the south coast of NSW. Tomikan is half way between Bateman's Bay and Maruya. Great spot, especially for those who like Fishing, Markets and the nearby Mogo Zoo and heritage shopping village. A couple of very good coffee destinations within easy reach also a supermarket and sports club. Friendly family suited venue. Don't expect top level luxury, but hey, the units are well appointed, with all the faciities needed. They are also light and brezzy.

Be prepared to drive if you are not fishing or golfing. Unit basic, can't imagine 6 would stay comfortably for a week. Adult lounge not available (repairs?) Pool/spa too cold for us (solar heating I was told). I did not find outdoor lounge chairs for reading/relaxing. Location great for day trips and beaches.

A tired "old" resort but scrupulously clean. A great location but not really a resort! The "solar heated" indoor pool was cold, the location is quite remote in terms of distance to beaches. Staff were friendly, IGA next door well stocked and landscape extraordinary. Rooms were basic but super clean.

Asked for an apartment with no stairs ground floor so my disabled mum could stay two nights. I was assured no stairs. When I got there I could clearly see stairs and office argued there were no stairs just a couple of steps. Poor old mum missed out on a holiday. Also the bed is rock hard. Facilities have been updated so nice and modern. Has everything you need for a long stay.

We have been time share owners for 35 years. The Moorings is probably the most disappointing timeshare we have stayed in. Positives were: clean, comfortable, reasonably equipped, close to a beautiful beach.. South Broulee. Negatives: road noise, no kids play areas or bike riding areas, pool not inviting ( not even a chair on surrounds) wi fi not good.

I was pleasantly surprised just how nice The Moorings apartment was. I was in no.12, a two bedroom, three bed unit, on the first floor. Everything I needed was supplied, even some tea making provisions. It was clean, airey and modern. The apartment was well insulated, so not noisy at all. On the balcony, overlooking the water inlet, there was some road noise as the main road isn't too far away but once the door was closed, the noise was gone. The aircon/heater is modern and easy to use. My apartment didn't have a washing machine, but just across the way is a laundry room with washers and dryers, so much better than the noise being in the apartment. I have a fab stay there and wouldn't hesitate booking again. The staff were all lovely too.

The resort unit we had, phase 3, was clean and fresh and had everything we needed for a holiday. AC helped with a record 36+ degree day. We we upstairs, so if you can't carry your bags up stairs ensure you get a ground level unit. We overlooked the lagoon for the small marina which has the 3 flat bottomed tinies with 5hp outboard that you can hire for $25 for the morning or afternoonup the river to the limit. The lagoon leads out to the Tomago River for fishing or sightseeing. You can bring your own boat that can be stored on trailer or in the marina for a small fee. We went for a leisurely potter up river and down to the limit set by the map provided. Tomakin is a small village so not wall to wall shops. We walked to the River Mouth cafe, 1.5km, for a wonderful coffee and cake, it's busy even out of holiday time. From here it is nice to walk to and along the pristine beaches with lookout. It's about 2.3km to Mossy Point with anther great Cafe, try the Mexican eggs with optional mushrooms, not to spicy either. Again take the chance to walk the beaches and lookouts. Pick a beach to swim at, or if you are keen have a surf or surfing lesson at Mossy Point. The IGA right next to the resort is handy for shopping, next to it is a restaurant/pizza place open Wed to Sun. A 9 hole golf course with mini golf and a driving range into water is right there too. Don't miss Mogo Zoo close by. We got thereat 9.30am ish to have a look at a few exhibits then a coffee before the keeper talks started at 10.30am, last one at 1.30pm, filled the whole day with a stroll around Mogo village. Plenty of other things to do as well, info available at the resort. We didn't swim in the on site indoor heated pool, it looked a little dull in there, but would be fine. So a very relaxed place to spend a week or a few days, with some nice places to walk to for coffee and meals. The Sportsman's Club is very close, less than 500m, The Patch restaurant there had high quality meals on both evenings we dined there. Give it a try.
