The Woods Farm Jervis Bay

I'm struggling to write this. I feel bad for being so blunt, which is ridiculous because I'm the guest and this is an honest review. And it's always difficult writing a review of this nature because you worry that it will be met with defensive words rather than seeing it as an opportunity to do better. But the fact remains that the website and booking site says, in multiple places, that the Flower House is 'disabled access' yet there is NOTHING accessible about the House at all. At a bare minimum, when one advertises 'disabled access' you would expect there to be no steps. There are lots of other things that make up 'access', but at a baseline, step free access is the first thing that comes to mind. But there's in fact a step to get the House, in at both doors! The "wider hallways" that are specifically mentioned on the site are in fact taken up by the placement of a China cabinet IN THE HALLWAY! And the "walk in shower" is useless when one can't actually walk. There's no accessible features as all in this House. No grab rails, no shower chair, nothing! So even if you can navigate the step there's nothing else. It is laughable that you Woods Farm can even think that there's any way this house is disabled access. I mean, it would be laughable, if it didn't mean that my getaway was ruined within 30 seconds of arriving. There is quite literally NOTHING accessible about this. I feel completely duped. Please, if you are thinking this will be a great accessible getaway, think again. It's not accessible.

We had a great weekend at the Woods Farm! The staff (esp Jaice) were super friendly and helpful. The kids loved the animal feeding and egg collecting. Plus making fresh wood fired pizza using the pizza oven was a great way to spend an evening. We would love to come visit again!

Glamping with young children at this farm was so lovely. The kids loved feeding the farm animals and toasting marshmallows by the fire. There was loads of things for young children to do and the park area and pool were amazing! The bathrooms and showers were new and clean.

The location amongst the bush is incredibly serene. The amount of stars you can see at night is amazing, especially while sitting at the camp fire toasting marshmallows. Animal feeding and pool on site is great for the kids. Some of the best beaches only a few minutes away. The reception staff is incredible, very friendly, welcoming and kind. She’s the shining face of the property.

Family friendly. Beautiful property. Glamping tents were just enough for a family of 3. Animal feeding was great. Pool area was very nice. Friendly staff. Good amenities. Great location. Even had great coffee!!! Thank you, We will be back for sure, 5 stars!

After attending a wedding at this venue last week I have to say I left severely disappointed by the facilities and some of the staff. Young lady in the front office needed some serious coaching in how to treat clients and would struggle to get employment in any hospitality venue that I know. The accommodation huts were filthy with dirt and dust and unclean linen as well as being poorly outfitted for the price that they gouged out of the guests. At $100 per head for everyone they were getting $400-$500 per night for small 3 bed/one bathroom cabins that lacked the space required to prepare for a major event like a wedding The Chapel was sufficient on the hot day that we had , however in any form of bad weather it would have been a trek through mud on unkept paths and with little shelter for the ceremony. The "Wed Shed" as they call it was extraordinarily inadequate. They say they cater for max 120 people but with a group only in the 80s we were cramped and the wait staff struggled to serve due to lack of room. The shed has no fans or A/C and in temps under 30 degrees everyone was cooking in the shed. The large double barn doors open facing due west so even when they did open them to allow the breeze in, those sitting on one side of the tables needed sunglasses due to the blazing sun in their eyes. The outside area used for canapes had little shade, a problem that could have been easily overcome with some simple shade shelters. The pricing overall was just an example of a group using the fact that its a wedding to triple the prices for simple services.
