Overall a great resort, but a few ******* stopped this being a truly fantastic holiday. (Beware, this is a long one, but lots of detail can be useful, so...) First the good: Candyland is fantastic - perfect for kids of all ages (even the grownups) with endless water slides, drinks and snacks on tap. The water is super cold though, so save it for a really hot day. A couple of the slides are genuinely scary (the snake particularly), so if you've got smaller/more sensitive kids, I suggest having a go yourself first. The funfair next door was partially closed during our visit - only a few rides working - but still popular with our gang. The indoor games area and soft play all had extra charges attached to them, so we didn't really bother given how many other things were already included. The kids' club was brilliant, and the staff there were uniformly great. The safeguarding approach was reassuring, and it was lovely to have a bit of quiet time (come on, you know what I mean...) The beach is lovely - in October is was fairly quiet, I imagine peak season it might be less charming! Paddle boards and kayaks are available for a reasonable fee, plus jetskis, waterskiing and seabobs for folk with deeper pockets! It's a little bit pebbly as you enter the water, but mostly really nice sand. Beachside snack bar was great (right up until it closed, more on that later) but be warned; almost all the bar staff free pour alcohol measures with total abandon, so your drinks are likely to be extremely strong. If you're not into that, keep an eye on what's being given to you. There's also a free beach volleyball court, plus two tabletennis tables. The main pool areas are extremely elegant, and were very quiet during our stay. The heated infinity pool was super popular with kids, and so a lot noisier but all the little ones had a whale of a time. The gym is great, and has everything from a yoga/pilates studio to enough free weights to satisfy all but the most hardened powerlifter. I didn't use the spa myself, but my mum gives glowing reports of her relax package. There's a hairdressers and apparently also an indoor pool, but we never quite managed to find it. Food: the main buffet is HUGE. Literally something for everyone at every meal. The vegan and veggie members of our party were well-fed throughout (although if you don't drink cow milk, you're out of luck because alternatives are not available) and the kids' dining area is a nice touch which our lot loved. Rooms: when we arrived, our party of 8 had been split into two rooms on opposite sides of the complex, but Baris very kindly moved us to an adjoining pair of connected rooms, with balconies for everyone. These are massive spaces, with whisper-quiet aircon, big bathrooms with bath and separate shower, and toilets with *glass doors*. I mean, I'm not sure that's everyone's ideal setup... My ****** here would be that the king size beds didn't seem to come with kingsize linen. Our beds were made up with a pair o

We came here as a family and had an unforgettable experience with this Hotel. Candyland is perfect for kids, with variety of snacks and drinks for them inside of Candyland. Water slides never stop being fun for kids, as well as for us, adults. Rooms are clean and well organized. Food is delicious and variety of food is satisfying. Staff is very professional with good knowledge of foreign languages. Special thanks to Mrs. Sebine. Her positivity, attentiveness and professionalism really made our trip enjoyable. We will definitely come back here with a bigger family!

Disappointed. Personal staff service very bad , you are a number and to less staff and every 2 days same food without grillade. Good if you want a expensive diet on holiday. I had diarrhea because the terrible food on the main restaurant, , no airconditioning in the restaurant , to less staff , to much guestrelations without experience , a bottle on the candyland fall down on my knee , it was soda in glass bottom from an external guest from outside the hotel, they can come also to the candyland” nobody helps me … I told to a staff miss K. she was kindly and somebody calls our room and they want speak with us on the lobby on 19o clock I come to there and they said me , Tu*** bey has no time momently… that person say even No sorry or anything ! What a terrible service! No barbeque no where only @Duman et ! If you pay extra then … what a joke … For what had we paid? Hygienic very bad , we had eating from the restaurant and we wass ill , diarrhee … 3 years ago we was in Rixos -> excellent 4 years ago Maxx royal -> magnifique But here damnn disguisting! Please please I hope that the GM read all this message because the hotel has a beautiful design but the staff are very bad! If you want book a la carta you must stand up on 8.30-9 o clock stay in a row and if you have lucky then you can book 1 times/week a la carte, or you have book a villa? Then no row , that was terrible! I dont want send more videos about all the situations because this hotel doenst listen to you! Please make not a terrible decision : choose a place with good service like Rixos - Voyage- mandarin… maxx royal…!

I originally gave this hotel a five star review while being requested to do so by staff. Now that my vacation is over I can honestly give a review. This hotel has a lot of potential and some odd faults that if fixed could make this possibly the perfect hotel for families. The good: excellent pools, an amazing water park during the day and luna park at night. Staff are friendly. The bad: some parts of the hotel smell like sewage, it’s so bad that we had to close our noses while walking through certain areas including the hallway to our room. When arriving the staff is friendly but you aren’t given a lot of information beyond the map of the hotel. There are cabanas by the pool that we were asked to leave because they were reserved (though there was no sign saying such), no one explained how we can reserve them. Food is only ok. Overall we had a pleasant stay but feel that this hotel doesn’t live up to its potential.

Stayed here for 11 nights in a superior garden view room with family and had a really good holiday apart from our last day… read on. Hotel: very clean, rooms cleaned everyday, grounds immaculate, staff even sweeping and mopping water from the paths outside to keep grounds clean and tidy. Staff: don’t really engage with guests, don’t go out their way to help or make sure guests are ok. If you have a question and approach reception they will speak but won’t go out of their way. Had to figure a lot of the hotel out on our own, most hotels we visit reception usually give you a few pointers when you check in of where to go etc. and where you will find entertainment and restaurants etc but there was none of this. A map or something on check in would be helpful. The service from the barman in hotel lobby was amazing though (guy with bandana) he was so friendly and would make his version of any cocktail you asked for! Food: loads of choice, something different every night. They have a theme every night which is good so you don’t get dishes repeating so often. You get 1 visit to the a la carte restaurant during your stay, we opted for the Turkish restaurant which was outstanding. (You have to book your table at 9am on the day you want to go). Impressed with the drink selection too, all inclusive drinks are served in cans and bottles. Pools: we spent most of our time at the large pool next to cabanas in front of hotel. There was also a little shallow pool next to this one for children with sand surrounding it. And you also have the beach just in front with plenty of sun loungers, we never had an issue trying to get sun loungers around the pool at anytime of the day which was good. Entertainment: we spent our evenings after dinner visiting the kids disco up at candy town, there’s a shuttle bus outside of hotel that runs you up and down or you can walk (steep hill, 5/10 min walk) the same shuttle bus runs you back and forth to candyland water park during the day right next to candy town. Candyland water park is brilliant, so much to do! Food and drink served here is also included in your all inclusive. Bodrum town: staff can call you a taxi outside the front of hotel costs about €20. We went here one night which was so busy and went for a visit during the day too. Full of restaurants and shops with a lovely marina. Last day: we asked at reception if we could keep one room on as our flight was later at night so we paid around £70 for this. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. The plan was to move myself and my fiancés luggage into my sister and her family’s room before checkout so we could all go and spend our last day at the pool etc. we done this and handed our key in for the room we had finished with. Fast forward to 4pm when myself and my fiancé went to the room to have showers to get ready for leaving for the airport. My sister and her family stayed at the pool to give us space to get ready. When we got into the room we noticed the maids h

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL… Rude staff who call me unprofessional when I’m trying to book a room at the price they Emailed me 2 days ago! The hotels looks wonderful on their website but he was rude with no manners, talking over me… if this is the calibre of employee that works at this hotel… then I understand the awful reviews I’ve just read and will steer clear. Lots more to choose from 😡

I had previously written this review but was last August but was contacted by the hotel’s guest relations manager, Gokhan Acun, and he reluctantly asked me to remove the review and that in return I would get a free stay at their hotel this year so I removed it last November. I asked over and over about him being certain and he promised that he would get us confirmation letters sent straight away. However… It all turned out to be a big lie. Now he’s not answering any calls or texts and I’m getting blunt replies from the hotel telling me he doesn’t work there anymore, and after me explaining and showing them the messages, they are supposedly giving me a discount, which works out to be more expensive than what I paid last year 🤦🏽‍♂️ LUCKILY, although they are in Turkish, I have WhatsApp messages to prove it so I have attached them to this review. Ealsily get them translated to see the BS I was provided with. All in all, we had the worst holiday experience followed by a tail of lies just so they can cover the crap. So I will now continue with my previous review, and PLEASE READ CAREFULLY as it could potentially save you from a holiday nightmare which you will regret!! ‘I really don’t know where to start.. we paid £7000 for 10 nights for a room in the main building but when we arrived, I had to pay another £1200 as we were given an annex room miles away and I couldn’t afford to take that as I have 2 small kids. When I asked why I was told differently, the receptionist just stared. I had to change rooms 4 times on the first night as the rooms were smelling and you couldn’t see the sea although we paid a sea view room. We waited 3 hours for the baby cots, and the worst thing is I literally had to walk to reception 6 times as they would not pick up the phone. I started to shout at them and again, they would just stare. And without any exaggeration, there were at least another 8 people complaining. The Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible! For a class of this hotel sort I was very surprised. We had to go to Bodrum centre and buy SIM cards just for that reason. Every time I complained they would give a different excuse. Main reason was electricity cut out. Another issue was the air conditioning in the room which was apparently linked to the electricity cutting out. We constantly had to get up and switch it on during the night. A hotel of this standard shouldn’t have problems like electricity for all I know. There must be a way to prevent it. I have been to almost all the hotels in that region and around the world and I can say with confidence that this was the worst experience. We really got to the point of giving up and didn’t complain anymore as nothing was being done about it. I was told by the staff that the hotel was over capacity of roughly 1000 guests therefore short staffed all around. Breakfast, bar, cafe, restaurant, even trying to get a towel at the beach, there are massive cues because there is not enough staff. Staff were frie
