The room was of a decent standard, as are all the premier inns I’ve stayed in. However the halls & corridors left a lot to be desired. A strange smell throughout the hotel (when not in your room or lobby) - a fusty, damp smell, which I assume was caused by the water damaged ceiling tiles & carpets. The lift next to the lobby was quite sketchy too. With it stopping several times for 5 seconds or so while in use.

Worst place I have ever stayed. Needs a total refurb. The corridor and room smells of damp and there's a awful smell which is an undertone of sewage. The carpet sticks to your feet. I felt really dirty staying here. It is a great location but that's about it

Enjoyable stay. Used the restaurant on site and the bar. All good. Room comfortable. Have to pay for parking which isn’t too expensive. If you don’t mind a walk there are streets nearby which don’t cost. The hotel is right on the sea front and handy for all other areas.

Parking was awful. It was pouring with rain and thunderstorms and snow. We are disabled but all spaces taken up by other disabled. Parked outside in street. Reception not bothered. Also, no coffee available in room as they forgot to order it. Not even offered a cup of coffee to take to the room.

Checking in took ages and there was an issue with the Wi-Fi codes. Hotel is dated but clean although on the long walk to the other side there’s a damp smell, almost like a care home. Clean enough it should be noted. Whilst here I had a takeaway from The Ghurka inn , up the road around 5 min walk , highly recommend. Staff were lovely and food delicious. I’ll eat in next time.

Nice location close to walk into the town and was well priced. However ever step you took the floor would squeak in the room. If that wasn’t bad enough the neighbor room clearly had the same issue as it’s all we could hear the whole night. Fan in the bathroom was loud so the door had to stay closed and the breakfast was poor food was cold and not enjoyable.

The short stay was quite excellent and could not have been bettered. The food was also of a high standard. Parking, although chargeable was convenient and easily accessible. The single blip of annoyance was when arriving some 15-20 minutes early we were asked for £10 to access our room. That was indeed pathetic considering the amount we paid for a superior room. Come on Premier Inn, is this really so important for you to make this charge?

Where to start…. This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings. The hotel itself is beautiful. The team are really friendly and the rooms are immaculate. When we checked in the lady in reception was lovely and so welcoming. She gave us some great recommendations of places to visit.

The worst Premier Inn I have stayed in. The hotel corridors were cold damp and musty smelling. The same could be said of the room I stayed in. The hot air heating was poor and would switch itself off after an hour. The bed linen when going to bed felt cold and damp. When I got home my clothes which had been hung up also smelt musty from being in the room. Lack of staff in bar and restaurant. However, the staff that were there were very friendly and helpful. For my 5night stay I paid nearly 500 pounds !!. This hotel needs a complete refit.
