Coastal Waters (Hotel Barton)

Was nice hotel. Stayed for one night. Room was full of extras like little fridge with water init which was very nice. Nice breakfast apart from the beans 😆

We had such a wonderful stay over the weekend! The hosts were incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The place was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described - even better in person! It’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the property and making guests feel welcome. Highly recommend staying here — we’d definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast. The whole place is spotless – very clean, tidy, and well looked after, which made it feel so welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely lovely, freshly prepared and served with real care. The location is perfect too, just a short walk into town & marina which was really convenient. What really stood out though was the warm, personal service. Raj was so friendly and attentive, making us feel at home straight away. It’s rare to find somewhere that combines comfort, cleanliness, and such genuine hospitality. I’d definitely recommend staying here and will be looking forward to returning ourselves!

A great location, large, comfortable room with lots of nice touches such as powerpoints next to each side of the bed with built-in USB chargers showed a lot of thought. But what stood out most for us was the owner going above and beyond to sort out parking for my larger than average car. We hope to return to Coastal Waters and would certainly recommend it for anybody looking for central and well-tended accommodation in Torquay.

I'm so glad we chose this hotel. It's spotlessly clean, comfortable and Raj, the owner, is exceptional, he goes above and beyond to make your stay as relaxing as possible and we couldn't thank him enough. The mini fridge in the room is a good idea and was well stocked, as was the tea and coffee. Breakfast was great with a good choice of cereals, fruit and the cooked food was delicious. The location is perfect for all the amenities, just a short walk. There are some places you can't wait to leave, this is NOT one of them. Will definitely recommend and will return

We really enjoyed our stay at Costal Waters. We had a superior double room with a partial sea view. We heard no noise at all from the other rooms which is quite rare in B&B hotels. Very good spot for the harbour. The only issue for hotels along this stretch of road is that they are on a hill leading out of town so cars and lorries have to accelerate to climb the road which can be a bit noisy in the night - along with the gulls at the harbour! Request a back room if you are a light sleeper.
