Great 3 night stay. So comfortable and quiet.Staff are friendly, helpful and polite. Worth the extra for Premier Plus room., Been in a few Premier Inns but this one is always outstanding. Handy for shops. Good steak house next door. Very clean. Highly recommended. Staff were all good but the two lady chefs in the kitchen were cooking the best food ever. Ideal for shopping and seaside of Porthcawl.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bridgend Central Hotel, the rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and only to happy to help. They took time to talk to us and made us feel really welcome. Very close to the outlet centre. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for a night when shopping in McArthurGlenn! Hotel staff were so friendly and very helpful. Room was nice and clean. Also inside the hotel was too. A negative is that the hotel outside did look a bit run down. The car park is free. Walking distance to the main shops/cinema. KFC and Sainsbury’s are nearby too. Will definitely stay here again.

For such a new Premier Inn this was very disappointing. It’s in a convenient location, right next to the M4. But unlike the other Bridgend Premier Inn next to the M4 this isn’t so close to the motorway to be noisy. However, the soundproofing in the rooms is terrible and I could hear a couple nearby talking loudly and someone else’s tv. The other noise that disturbed was the ticking/clicking radiator which was really noisy when it came on. However, it was useless as a source of heat. It never went above the set temperature and couldn’t be adjusted. So the room was cold, as well as being noisy. The shower fan cannot be turned off and isn’t linked to the light switch so made a noise 24/7 and made the bathroom permanently cold. It was most unpleasant to be exposed to such a cold temperature when you have to use the shower. Not even a heated towel rail to take the chill out the air in the bathroom. The worst thing about the newly built hotel is that they’ve clearly gone for profit above comfort. They’ve taken a good foot, if not two foot, off the width of the room compared to older Premier Inns. It means that you can barely move past the desk and chair and the room feels horribly cramped. The chair for the desk is also totally unsuitable for sitting at the desk - it’s slightly reclined and too low so impossible to sit up at the desk to do any work. There is free parking but the car park is shared with the pub next door and a KFC. Particularly at weekends, it’s difficult to find a parking space. The one redeeming feature of the hotel that stopped me giving it the lowest one star rating was the staff. What a lovely, friendly and helpful bunch. Couldn’t fault them.

Room was noisy through connecting door. Could hear people snore in the next room. Mold in the shower. No cleaning in the 2 night stay, no fresh towles. Now if you want to check in before 15.00 you have to pay an additional £10. Wouldn't surprise me if the next time we go you will have to pay for a smile back

I went back in Jan and the lift was broken and had been since before Xmas. Wasn’t made aware of this before arrival and since I was on the top floor I really struggled due to my disability. I asked if it was going to be fixed in time for my March stay and was told 100%. It wasn’t. Again not told before arrival. We actually called before arrival to see if we could check in early but again not told about the lift. Issue with check in, when we called we were told we could check in early with no extra charge. We arrived early and they wanted £15 each ! Real shame about the lift as due to this I could rarely leave my room. Other than that it was okay. Would be nice if they offered decaf coffee

Booked two nights in a Premier Plus room, have stayed here previously over the years. Wish I knew one thing at time of booking that the lift was not working & has not been for a few months & room was on the 3rd floor & now being of an age I found it tough. Friendly staff, room clean replaced towels & tea bags & just dragged up duvet. Room itself was nice & quiet at night.
