Our hotel room was very large and absolutely spotlessly clean. Very good view from our window. Very friendly staff on reception, however didn’t get the offer of a map of the city. We had pre dinner drinks in the bar and the barman who was very friendly and welcoming brought us “snacks” as he called them, which were delicious. However, our restaurant experience was not as good, we ordered arctic char with rosti and broccoli with chilli dressing, the fish was okay but the rosti was clearly from a frozen packet and the broccoli limp and over cooked, very disappointing from a hotel of this standard. Breakfast buffet was okay, good choice.

Across the park from the railway station this hotel has a gentle calm atmosphere as you enter the lobby , and walk down the marbled passage to the lifts. You pass an art-deco bar with comfortable lounge seating. From the lounge you can enter the restaurant / breakfast room. We had a large [massive]double room on the side of the 5th floor with views across the city. Bathroom had a bath/shower but well cleaned as was the whole hotel. Friendly staff throughout . Make sure you have the free Trento Card to access museums and churches as well as travel on local buses / trains free available from reception on request.

The Grand Hotel Trento is truly like a grand old hotel from the 1980s or 1990s. When you walk in there is a sense of grandeur. There are some beautiful sitting areas and a beautiful bar area. The bar area is huge. I noticed that the hotel hosts conferences and meetings as they were going on the entire time we were here. The room is very nice, but a little dated. There are adequate electrical outlets, but they are in odd places. Nothing right by the bed. The carpet is a little worn, but it didn't bother me. The bathroom is very nice ... it has a tub with a hand-held shower. Plenty of water pressure and hot water. The elevator is fast, and there are two of them. The included breakfast was excellent. All kinds of choices including a waffle maker! The hotel was very quiet at night. The location is perfect as it is close to the main square. I really enjoyed my stay here.

This is a fantastic hotel with a great location and parking. I would happy return anytime. The rooms are great and the decore in the hotel of yesteryears. Really an amazing place. Breakfast is plentiful and you won’t go hungry whatever your taste.

The atmosphere from entering the hotel is old world charm and luxury. The marble in the lobby is breathtaking. Our room overlooked the Dolomites and even better was the roof terrace which overlooked the castle and the town. The staff were helpful and everything was very clean.

Very grandiose decor. Bar and barman was great - grappa tasting a must. Bed was very hard, so not a good sleep. Shower was quite good. Biggest peeve was no tea/coffee in the room and sadly the breakfast buffet was hit and miss. Coffee was cold from the machines, the cakes were all stale. The bread, tomatoes, ricotta and eggs were good. More fresh fruit ( cut vs whole) would have been good.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel in Trento for a week in June while in town for a family celebration. What a great place and what a great stay we had! The hotel is less than a five-minute walk from the train station. The public spaces are beautiful: the lobby, bar, breakfast room, and the incredible sixth floor terrace were classic, comfortable and welcoming. The staff could not have been nicer. The rooms were beautifully decorated and a good size. Breakfast offerings were large and varied. We enjoyed every moment of our stay at this wonderful hotel in a wonderful Italian city and highly recommend it.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Beautiful, central, gracious. We were lucky enough to have been updated to a suite, but we would have been happy with one of their regular rooms, too. Just a block from the train station, and a couple of blocks to the pedestrian (fussgänger) zone. Rooms are beautiful, gracious and luxurious, with great views of this beautiful city and the surrounding mountains. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious.
