Miki Miki Lodge

Amazing staff really loved staying here with Melenia and Tania. You might want a rental car to get around the wider island as it is off the beat and track but if you just want to lounge on the beautiful nearby beach, it is great. The golf course is nearby with a restaurant. There was a small rental car available to guests to hire. There was also a local pop-up caravan that sold great food. Kia ora Miki Miki Lodge.

From the initial booking...Jannie was prompt, clear & awesome! She was on schedule to pick us up - the car was clean & tidy. The bungalows were immaculate & incredibly comfortable & clean, mattresses were heavenly, as were the pillows! Definitely choose the half board option for dinner. Incredible, flavorful dinners & always a delectable dessert ! The breakfasts were awesome as well. She maintains the property incredibly well & ensures the guests comfort & their stay is number one! Jannie is definitely an amazing voice for the environment, her care & concern for the island is shown on her daily walks, she collects & brings back the garbage found on the beach. The art deco & all decorations are gifts from nature. Loved every minute of my stay in paradise!!! Plus Panda, Blanche & Tiggy (2 dogs & 1 cat)...melt your heart & are an important part of the meet & greet Jannie truly makes Miki Miki Lodge the most comfortable stay, like being in paradise & feeling at home all in one! An oasis in the Pacific!

We spent five nights at Miki Miki Lodge. We started with a garden bungalow and moved to the ocean view bungalow. Both were super comfortable and clean. The view of the ocean was delightful and very special. The outdoor patios are well thought and super enjoyable. Jannie our host was extremely helpful and attentive. She is an excellent cook, and was generous with food. Jannie picked us up at the airport. She made excellent suggestions for activities. We had nice conversations. We appreciated the availability of bicycles that allowed us to explore the islet. The boat trip to the Îles des Récifs was spectacular and different from lagoon trips. We highly recommend it to anyone in good physical shape. Overall our stay at Miki Miki was very peaceful and relaxing. We highly recommend Jannie's place !

We spent one week there, Jannie is an extremely helpful host, she helps to organize diving and excursions. Breakfast and dinner was excellent, all homemade and fresh. The rooms are spacious facing the pacific side, always fresh brise and no moskitos. Great view, not far from Tiputa Pass and Dive Center. The only sad thing is that we had to leave. The sound of the ocean in the night.... we will miss a lot!

We were recommended to Miki Miki lodge thru Top dive scuba center. We lucked out by booking the last bungalow available.The host Jannie arranged all our diving and excursions before we arrived,what a pleasure it was corresponding with her. Jannie picked us up at the air port which was the beginning of an epic adventure thru Rangiroa and developing a friendship with her and several other quests.Her home cooking is amazing and I'm a picky eater! Beautiful place ,beautiful person,Miki Miki lodge is a gem in French polynesia that won't disappoint!!!

Spent 6 wonderful nights at Miki Miki Lodge. We had a garden bungalow which was well appointed,comfortable and very clean ! Miki Miki lodge has 3 bungalows and two are facing the ocean so they get a wonderful ocean breeze and the the third one is garden or back facing so no views but is still very comfortable with an air conditioner since no breeze . Jannie is the hostess,cook, driver , cleaner , organizer , island expert, tour organizer, what can I say , she’s Super woman ! She makes her own bread ,jams and cook fabulous meals . The place is well maintained and her activities recommendations were perfect ! She picks her guest up at the airport and return and she even stopped at a local store on our way to the lodge so we could pick up water or beer etc for our stay . The views from the terrace are fantastic and peaceful . Just a short walk to the lagoon for a swim and to the pass to watch the dolphins 🐬 play in the waves ! Loved my stay at MikiMiki Lodge and met some very nice people during our stay and the dinner conversations were very interesting and the food was magnificent ! There was also Jannies pets Blanche, Panda & Tiggy ( her dogs and cat) which made our stay very homey ! Miki Miki Lodge is great value and very comfortable and Jannie is the hostess with the mostest!

We spent three nights with hostess Janie who was incredibly helpful and friendly. You ca tell that she is also the owner because you can see the pride in everything she does from keeping the rooms well-maintained to serving delicious meals to making local insider recommendations. The property is located on the ocean side with comfortable breezes ad awesome views from her elevated platform outside our room. French Polynesia is not an inexpensive destination, so relative to other places we looked at, we felt that Miki Miki was a very reasonable price and excellent value for the money spent.

This is a tough review to complete. Overall our stay was comfortable at Miki Miki but it could have been a great one if some things were updated.Miki Miki is one of the few pensions which is on the ocean side. Janie is a good host, she accommodated my request for vegetarian meals. She helped organize our excursions and they were wonderful. We had a Garden room with A/C which worked very well. Our room was on the road size so it was slightly noisy. The bikes are in horrible condition. The breakfast was just meh...desert was always vanilla ice cream which was boring cause I was hoping for a homemade cake or something similar.
