Vendura lotus cruise is the worst with I'll mannered manager named Minh n Tom. They thugged us by deliberately serving us smoothies in between the meals which was way too expensive and also without giving us the menus and informing us about whether it's chargeable or not. After objecting to pay the bill which was around 20,00,000 VND, they threatened us with cops and stopping the luggage. We had all the right to fight but we didn't have time as we had our flight in few hours. Same thing was suffered by others on the same cruise. We have recommended our tour manager to stop booking with Vendura Lotus Cruise.

The crew was great. Everyone was super nice and spoke enough English for a smooth experience. The boat was quite good as well, everything clean and quite nice. I would give 5 starts except for 2 things. One is our bed was not a queen or double but two twin beds pushed together. I complained and they moved me the next day but we still spend a night there. It's just not like you can just create a larger bed this way. My fiance and I swim around the bed together throughout the night and the big gap in the middle just makes for far inferior sleep. Other people might surely be different but it made that night and subsequent day sub-optimal but not altogether bad. The other complaint is basic and understandable. We are vegan and was not a ton of great vegan food BUT they did make an effort and the food for the most part was all vegan. Just lots of oil and not super filling. Even with these things it was still a quite pleasant experience. Again the staff was as accommodating as possible and always very nice.

Checked price for two night cruise at desk of my high end hotel then at Hanoi Backpackers Hostel, went with the Hostel’s preferred provider - Lotus — to save $100 plus … happy I did. Good cabin with opening window (some boats I think have cabins that are sealed shut), well organized tours, Tom was the guide, boat Le Journey. I am a well travelled fit 78 year old who from time to time enjoys solo trips

We had a great time in the cruise with my family.Tony and team arranged the programs orderly and we totally enjoyed the atmosphere in the cruise, thanks to those working in the cruise, if anyone want to go for Halong bay you can choose this cruise.

I would give this boat less then 1 star. The top wasn’t finished. They did not give us the executive double balcony room we were promised! Furthermore the rest of the boat looks beat up and shabby NOT LUXERY. Also charge you for water. STAY AWAY
