17 West Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

I recently had a reservation at 17 West Hotel in Tulsa during my visit to the area. Unfortunately, upon my arrival, I was informed about an unforeseen emergency situation involving issues with the hotel’s pipes, preventing them from accommodating me as planned. I’m facing difficulties in obtaining a necessary confirmation letter from the hotel, a requirement from my insurance company to address the unforeseen expenses incurred for alternative accommodation. kindly request the management’s assistance in providing the required documentation to streamline this process. Moreover, since I haven’t been able to reach the hotel through traditional means, I would greatly appreciate direct contact from the management based on the details provided in this review. In my efforts to resolve this matter, I attempted to contact the CHOICE group, who later informed me that 17 West Hotel is no longer affiliated with their organization. This proactive step will not only assist in resolving my situation but also contribute to improving the overall experience for future guests. Your attention to this matter is highly appreciated.

The hotel was way over booked. All third party bookings were cancelled. The check in process was a nightmare. It took over an hour and a half to get checked in. We were on 15 th floor and our keys quit working. After the concert we went to, the elevator line was about a 20 min wait. It took like an hour to get into our room due to the key/elevator problems.

In April of 2022 I made a reservation for this hotel for NCAA wrestling tournament in March 2023 using the Choice rewards web site. On December 27 2022, I received an email from the hotel manager saying that the hotel could no longer honor my reservation. At the time of booking there were several hotels in the area with vacancies. Regrettably, I chose this hotel and now 9 months later. I am left without a reservation. I was offered no compensation. I even asked the manager as a gesture of good faith if I could use the parking garage since I was now forced to rent a car 6 miles outside the city. The owner said "she was unable to do that" due to the hotel being booked privately. Essentially, some organization offered the hotel a lot of money for more rooms and the hotel decided to simply take away my room knowing I had no recourse. I can not comment on any aspect of the hotel. However, I will warn you that reservations are meaningless at this hotel. Make sure you are aware of that when booking.
