Gold Island Selected Hotel

The hotel is great. The food,rooms and Cleanliness are very good. I’m very Pleased with everything. I would especially like to thank the animation manager halil and animator lacin. They are a very cheerful, caring and fun animation team. Thank you for everything.

Very nice hotel complex. We stayed here for a week and I am more than satisfied. There were several beaches you could lie on that belonged to the hotel. It was close to a mini center with several shops and an LC Waikiki so you could do your usual shopping or if you prefer to haggle there were these shops too. There were buses to Konakli if you prefer to go there and shop or you could take a taxi for 15 euros. Many pools to choose from and two water parks. A small pool for the children that was protected from the sun with 4 small slides + • Good beds • You got a 15 minute free massage when you arrived which could be used within 24 hours and it was good • Very good wifi covered the entire area even down by the beach • Very good kebab and hamburgers in the pool restaurant. Very good bread. You also got soda and beer in glass bottles which was very appreciated. • There was a barista who made Starbucks coffee at one hotel. There were long queues but well worth it • Good food, not very many options but not too few either. It was quite adequate I would say, I'm used to there being more but this worked. At the other hotel there was a larger selection so if you are there specifically for the food I would have chosen to stay there instead. • You grilled every day outside the restaurant, very appreciated • Good crepes with nutella just boring out of 7 days they only had it 2. The remaining days they made waffles which unfortunately become chewy and boring • The evening show was good • Both nice and unpleasant staff. It was noticed that they preferred guests who came from Eastern Europe. • Extremely helpful staff when my daughter threw up one night. Then they came up in the middle of the night with new sheets and blankets - • No coffee machine, just a vending machine in the restaurant • Few sun loungers for such a large hotel. If you came down at 9am, there were none left. Guests often booked sun loungers without using them all day. Sometimes you booked 4 chairs but only used 2, so that wasn't good either. • The door to the room slammed shut hard, there was nothing to hold it back, so there was a big risk of children getting trapped • Extremely bad and repetitive children's show. They also made it worse by saying that children would have lots of prizes every day, so the evening show was delayed. • Some safety risks o A bed blocked the emergency stairs from the sixth floor o Lamps were broken along the walkway and electrical wires were lying around • It happened that some dishes ran out and they weren't quick to refill them. Croissants in the morning were one of them. Ended every morning after 08 and they barely refilled • The ice cream in the evening was brought in 30-45 minutes before the restaurant closed so the first day my daughter missed ice cream because of this which was a shame. • We went with Apollo and their staff has zero clue. During our stay, my daughter experienced two episodes of a stomach bug, two days apart. Based on our observations, the hygiene and cleanliness standards at this property appear to be insufficient. Floors are cleaned using a dry mop, and rooms do not seem to be thoroughly sanitized. We also witnessed an adult guest leaving the restaurant in visible discomfort and rushing to the restroom, which raised further concerns about the general sanitary conditions. Additionally, there was a noticeable smell in the lift, suggesting a possible vomiting incident. Unfortunately, there are no stairs available as an alternative—only the lift. Communication was also challenging, as most staff did not speak either Russian or English. I had to rely on Google Translate throughout our stay. When we requested our room to be cleaned after our daughter became unwell, the reception informed us it would be done promptly. However, the cleaning staff arrived 20 minutes later and spent additional time talking with a colleague in another room before starting. Overall, our experience suggests a lack of attention to cleanliness and service. This property may not be suitable for families with young children.
