Valara - Alpine Art Hotel

Overall this is a very good hotel located right next to the skiing gondola making it easily possible to ski back to the hotel with only a 2 minute walk to the gondola in the morning as the bridge for the mountain stream and car park is in the way. The bedrooms are of a large size including a sofa, table & chairs, writing table and plenty of wardrobe storage. The rooms are kept well cleaned. The sauna/spa area is not as good as other 4 star hotels in the valley and wine prices at dinner are high. The staff are friendly & work well together. A 6 course meal taking 45 minutes on average to be served. Having stayed at 6 hotels mostly 4 star in the Zillertal valley it's difficult to find fault with them in general.

Another fantistic holiday! We have been visiting Hintertux and Der Rindererhof regularly for years and there is a reason we keep going back... the hotel is brilliant, perfect location, fantastic food, clean comfortable rooms and wonderful service from all of the staff. The spa, children's play room and new gym are an added bonus. The staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Our sons birthday was the day we arrived and there was a lovely cake and table decorations waiting for him at our evening meal We stayed over Easter and there were a cute little boxes full of treats for everyone on the Sunday morning. Lovely little token gestures that really add a special touch. You get a voucher for the buses which means if there is a bad weather day you can hop on the bus and head down to Mayrhofen for free. We had a super day down there at the pool, definitely worth a visit, and another day in Zell am Ziller, brillaint play/adventure area for children, when there were high winds on the Glacier. The food was excellent, great variety and choice for breakfast and a super evening meal with options for everyone. There was a children's buffet each night and their food was also great (not the nuggets and chips you often find) but lots of options including pasta, chicken, schnitzel, vegetables etc... The rooms are big, clean and comfortable with lovely views of the mountain from the balcony. There has been lots of work & upgrades to the hotel over the past few years and the family rooms are being revamped this summer so we are really looking forward to seeing those again next time. It's a home away from home for us and we will be back again next year. Thank you Andrea, Lara, Elke and all of the team for another brilliant week!

Hotel in right next to cable-way. Rooms was great, balcony with nice view. Food was perfect. Ski room is well thought out. Staff was very kind. Hotel has a terrace with view to mountains. We had afternoon cocktail there with a view to mountains, waterfall, cable-way. It was peaceful. There are trail all around the hotel if you come in summer. We enjoyed it bit time.

Nice hotel very well located at the bottom of the cabins to go on the slopes Food quality is very good offering either a choice of menus or thematic buffet. Have to choose everyday at breakfast The gym, small though, but with high quality machines Friendly staff, especially Edward at the restaurant and Elke at the front office. Clean rooms. Some of them are renovated. Ski lockers are very nice and convenient Didn’t use the spa but some fields from our group did and said it was ok. Will go back next year

Very nice hotel! I was here 2 years ago and came back this year again. It has everything that you need - renovated rooms, renovated cosy SPA (3 Types of Saunas, Infrared beds, station with drinks), cosy lobby where you can order drinks. Food is also good! Hotel is situated exactly on the pist and the lift is 3 min from it, so it is very easy to go to the lift or to come back to the hotel if you don't want skiing. I'd like to thank to the staff of the hotel, everybody was so kind and made our stay so pleasant! Thanks to Eduard, Peter, Nadezda from the restaurant, they are really professionals! Thanks to the reception ladies! Special thanks to Lara for the interesting cocktail presentation (it really worths!). Thanks for the well organised tobogan evening, we really enjoyed it! Hope to see you next year!

So far the best experience we had in Hintertux. Thank you to all the staff. Room, food, proximity of the glacier.......everythink was perfect. It's been 4 years in a row that we come and we'll be back in 2025 for sure........................
