I’ve stayed at Pluvio suites multiple times now, and I can’t say it enough…this place is absolutely wonderful. Selfishly, I want to keep it more of a secret, so it’s not sold out when I need to come to Ucluelet for business. Jokes aside, the rooms as cozy, clean, beautifully decorated, and come with unreal savoury and sweet options for breakfast (not to mention some delicious baked goods and sparkling water, orange juice, and great coffee). Plus, the owners are so lovely, this makes the overall experience 10/10. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Pluvio. We walked into the room and immediately enjoyed the pleasure of heated floors in the hallway and in the bathroom. The bathroom was simple elegance with a large shower and excellent lighting. The bed was extremely comfortable, the linens delightfully fresh. There was a sitting area inside with comfortable chairs and a little deck with a table and chairs, as well. A small “kitchen” area was stocked with a cast iron plunger pot ready to have boiling water poured into if for morning coffee and in the mini fridge we found house made granola, a lovely savory breakfast consisting of a half a boiled egg, a beautifully dress quinoa salad and some pickled vegetables. There was also a bottle of excellent Pluvio Averill Creek white wine available to purchase - the perfect thing to find at our temporary home after a long day of hiking to Half Moon Bay. We not only stayed overnight in this comfortable room we had dinner in the restaurant. The small room turned out the most exquisite, thoughtful, local and ethical food I have ever had. The staff could write the book on service! I can’t wait to go back.

Our main reason for staying here was the restaurant - the food really was out of this world - I'd say the best we have had anywhere - some amazing combinations that just seemed to work. Our room was huge, newly decorated and very comfortable with balcony and roof terrace - generally really peaceful though, it being a weekend, there was a little bit of later noise from the next door veteran's club - not a big issue for us and their is air con if you want to shut the window and if you stay in the centre of town, then a bit of noise is to be expected. The staff were all very friendly and we'd happily go back.

TA reviews always seem to have the one person who gives it 1 star over a $$ beef with management, and these are easy to spot and dismiss. Mine is likely in that category, but there is an element of truth in my complaints. This is an expensive place, more than even the Fairmont in Victoria. Yes, it is a small hotel and one of quite high quality. Booked it for 2 special nights, ate at their quality restaurant, wonderful high quality experience for which the top dollar price is appropriate. A booking error occurred, an honest mistake, involving a $25 “sweets package” upon arrival. Did I order it? They say I did. Perhaps so, but as I am diabetic, it clearly was an honest error. At the 5 star level of this hotel, I feel good management practice would have been to simply forgive and remove the charge. (The sweets arrived at our room shortly after arrival, and we scratched our heads and said we didn’t want it and didn’t know we had ordered it.) That done, we encountered yet another bush league level of management. There is zero helpfulness from management and staff at the desk regarding ideas and local knowledge of how to do things while here, where to go to do them, and no brochures or handouts of any type for activities. Thankfully, we brought it up to our server at their restaurant that evening. She knew absolutely everything about everything and helped us plan our 2 days here with a cheery attitude of helpfulness. Not an impressive front office! Finally, each room has a boilerplate continental breakfast left in the fridge daily. No inquiry nor attempt was made upon arrival or in advance to accommodate any special dietary needs of guests. For most this is a non-issue, but for diabetics one’s food choices must be controlled to avoid glucose spikes. We would never expect anything special at an economy or medium level hotel, but Pluvio holds itself out as an upscale top of the line place to stay. Their prices reflect this, but the breakfast choices were simply unacceptable to me due to the sugar/glucose issue. Although classy in many regards, Pluvio needs to up their customer service game to justify their pricing.

We have been Dinning at Pluvio's every year on our West Coast Anniversary trip, really enjoying the dining experience and wine selection. The unique tasting creations along with the wine pairing is a fantastic experience. We also can't say enough about the suite's on site, well set up, super clean and beds are very comfortable and the coffee and breakfest is great. Lily & Warren and their team go above and beyond in guest service, we highly recommend Pluvio's for your stay and dining experience. Andy & Lisa

The room was so lovely, clean, west coast inspired and peaceful. Every detail has been thought of from the bathroom rain shower to the king sized bed to the back balcony with Garden view. We really loved our stay and will definitely be back soon.

We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Pluvio! Our room was lovely, clean, bright and spacious and no detail was missed in terms of amenities, comfort and convenience. We were also given a generous discount because of the Hwy 4 closure which was thoughtful and much appreciated. We had dinner in the restaurant one of the nights and it was fantastic! Incredible food and service and we loved watching the talented team work their magic from our view at the chef’s table. Our stay here was the highlight of our 2 weeks in BC!
