Madri Haveli

My wife and I stayed at Madri Haveli on two separate nights over four days visiting Udaipur. We were really impressed with the whole experience from start to finish. We were on a tour with a driver, and as the hotel is impossible to reach with a car, the hotel sends a tuk-tuk to pick you up from a local meeting point which is about 300 metres away and a fun way to reach the hotel. We booked a deluxe double room which looked onto the street in front of the hotel, and was really cosy with a big bed and powerful warm shower, it has everything we needed. It also had aircon and a ceiling fan to keep cool. I highly recommend a drink to watch the sunset from their amazing rooftop, Skyfall, although take note, they do not serve alcohol, so we had a salty lemon soda instead. We also had dinner one evening and the food was so tasty, and great value. It is so easy to step out the hotel and be right in the middle of all the action, with hundreds of bars and restaurants on your doorstep. I would recommend Charcoal by Carlson and the Lake Pichola Hotel, and the Taj Lake Palace for dinner, such a nice experience. I also left my cap there on the first night and they found it and kept it safe until my return, so thank you to Sunil and Anand for all their wonderful service.

The best heritage property i have ever seen in Udaipur. Rooms were amazing, staffs were helpful and friendly and the food was top notch. Best thing, all the beautiful places to visit like gangaur ghat, lake pichola, ambrai are at walking distance. Highly recommended.

It was a pleasure staying at this 300 year old haveli, very artfully and tastefully restored by the owner.. he has kept a lot of the original architecture and pillars ..also the flooring..the basin and room crevices are made in tune with the olden times.... I didn't expect it to be so tastefully done and was very pleasantly surprised. Its located very close the to lake pichola and city palace (walkable distance), though there is a little slope coming up to the hotel, but the local auto /tuk tuk would drop you to the hotel directly. Special mention for the ***ager Mr.Sunil, who is very courteous, he even called a day before my check-in to confirm my arrival time etc. On arrival I was greeted very warmly by the staff and even got a room before my actual check in time. While leaving the hotel, I had left quite expensive ring in my room, Mr.Sunil called me and actually had it delivered to me at the station, I am very thankful to him for the same. They have a very reasonably priced food menu too and the food is quite delicious too. I would definitely stay here on my next visit too, it was a pleasant peaceful and very relaxing stay at the Madri Haveli.

It is an amazing hotel. It is a hotel with an atmosphere of Indian art. In the details of the beautiful architectural work As well as the service of the staff is very good and very friendly. Inside the room is beautiful and comfortable. Very suitable for coming to stay. and want to go back again

If you are lucky enough to get room from this Hotel, I say, you must go. This place is so good that staying here is good reason only to visit in Udaipur. All was so easy, so comfortable and so well ***aged. Interior was fantastic, all is clean. Staff helped you with any questions.

The staff her is very Cooperating and the room is clean and hygienic, the hotel is located in the middle of the city.... nearest to all the main viewpoints, the food here is just like our home type...so all in all very good experience

Beautiful rooms , lovely lounge/work/ chill area. Tastefully designed everywhere. Superfast (100)and reliable internet. I coach online and was able to do this from my room and work area very successfully. Nice roof top. Very well located , 2 min stroll to the archway by the lake and lots of cafe/restaurants including Jheels which has very good coffee. The staff were very helpful and personable. I stayed 5 days and it began to feel like home. I stayed in a standard double room which was great value considering what others places charge , and the other amenities like the lounge. Cool gaff!

Very nice hotel in a lovely heritage building but stylish and modern inside. Most rooms look into the courtyard which kept it quiet. Close distance to the sights but on a smaller quieter street (anything larger than a TukTuk won’t be able to reach it). Staff are nice, friendly and helpful. Although I can’t speak for the more luxury rooms the most basic economy rooms don’t have a lot of amenities (no safe, no air con, no wardrobe, no fridge, no TV). The fan was too slow on speed #1 (didn’t really do anything) but was quite loud (too loud to sleep) on speed #2 or higher. But I slept quite well anyway. Rooms have nice bathrooms with an actual totally separate shower area, which isn’t always found in India! Clean. Overall, this hotel is certainly recommended.

It's one of the most beautiful properties I have stayed in. The service and communication was excellent from booking to pre arrival to stay and checkout. All the service staff were polite and always willing to help in every way possible. The rooms were absolutely clean with nice comfortable beds and an exquisite bathroom. The property itself was lovingly restored with the old world charm and the modern amenities making our stay a wonderful experience. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about Madri Haveli. I would just like to add that an exhaust in the bathroom would have been a welcome addition.
