Stayed in one of the 4 garden cabins. Each are angled in such a way that they are all private. Each has its own hot tub and log burner. The cabin was cosy at night and well maintained. The cabin has WiFi, a tv, tea/coffee station, sofa and ensuite. Towels are provided for the bathroom plus separate towels, a robe and slippers for the hot tub. Breakfast was buffet but included hot self-service english breakfast items. I have to give credit to the person on reception when I checked in who greeted me with a smile and was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

On the whole, the accommodation was satisfactory and the breakfast was very good. However, the room was not perfect as a 3-bed room was assigned to us (2 persons).  The extra bed occupied space but cannot be effectively used by us. A better window view was sacrified.

We stayed here for one night during a visit to the Lakes recently. We had stayed in another hotel the night prior in Bowness before coming here. We arrived at Newby Bridge, and on entering the hotel, there were 2 ladies on reception. One didn't even greet us, and the 2nd was sat, eating a bowl of pasta. We got checked in anyway, and we're showing our room. Room 3. The room itself was decent. Spotless clean, with a big 4 poster bed. The Bathroom had a shower over bath, and a rubber mat was provided as it was fairly slippy when in the shower. The mat provided was dirty and mouldy though. There is a TV in the room which kept losing signal on most of the stations. We had some drinks in the hotel bar. Staff were great. Friendly young man serving behind the bar. We ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner, which was great. Food portions were excellent. Breakfast the next morning was chaotic. We felt sorry for the staff trying to manage it. We didn't use the leisure facilities like the pool etc. Plenty of parking outside the hotel. Nice walking routes opposite the hotel but not much else around it in terms of bars and restaurants, so its not a great location if you want more going on. We wouldn't return. Many other hotels in better locations and far more superior around the area.

I can honestly say I’ve never felt so looked after than when I stayed here last weekend! I checked in the day before and left my luggage as I was taking part in an ultra marathon. When arriving on the Saturday a little worse for wear I was absolutely exhausted and delighted to see the same lady on reception. What made it so special was the complimentary upgrade to a cabin with a hot tub right outside. The whole experience brought me to tears and that’s something that never happens! The cabin was gorgeous, the hot tub was lovely and clean just like everywhere at the hotel. Breakfast was 10/10 too, (the bus stops right outside the hotel a perfect for getting around £3) I can’t recommend this place enough and I am looking forward to returning again with the family. Honestly a real heart felt thank you for everything!

This is a slightly outdated but lovely hotel. Good pub/guest house and feel about it. We had room one and it’s a good spacious room. Staff friendly and helpful. Need to up the attention to detail with clearing glasses and tables more efficiently. This applied to both the lounge area outside and the bar. The grounds are lovely and well kept. We enjoyed this stay for the weekend just think needs more attention to the daily running. Breakfast was nice but again disorganised at clearing up and refilling. Simple things like glasses ran out for juices, fruit ran out very quick and staff seemed unprepared for the hotel being quite busy.

My husband & I stayed at the Newby Bridge Hotel 23rd to 25th October for 2 nights on a Travelview deal which included dinner. The hotel was excellent in every way. No road noise, our room had everything we needed, comfortable beds and 2 good chairs to relax in to watch TV. You usually only get one chair, if any. Breakfasts were good, something for everyone and evening meals were really excellent with friendly and helpful waiters. The sticky toffee pudding was fantastic, best we have ever tasted and chose it both nights. Compliments to the chef! The dining room was beautifully laid out as was the bar with plenty of space and a roaring log fires. The lounge had a roaring fire as well with lovely sofas, TV, books and board games. All the staff on reception were helpful and couldn't do enough for you. A short very enjoyable walk away was Lakeside where you could catch a boat to Bowness on Windermere and also see or take a steam train to Haverthwaite. We had a really lovely time there and will definitely return. Thankyou to all the staff and we would highly recommend.

We stayed here for my husbands birthday on a travelzoo deal which was excellent. The hotel was busy, check in straightforward, the room was a trek, it’s quite a big old place. Our room (26) was a double and single bed with bath, the bath was perfect for a long soak. We had a dinner allowance but paid extra for steak and cheese n biscuits, meal was really good, as was breakfast this morning. All the staff were lovely, all working very hard to make sure everyone was looked after. If I see another deal I will ring the hotel as they will try to match if they can help they will.

We were staying en route to our cottage , nice enough, but our room was a long walk up and down stairs and corridors, ( luckily Freddie helped with our bags ) cosy bar, dining room was a little stark, probably would have benefited with back ground music.
