One of the few hotels near the railway and main bus station in the city. But next to walking streets and malls in the city. Building is heritage and look oldish. But the rooms are clean and bright. Service is efficient when you want it. Could move in and out of the hotel easily. Walking distance to Uppsala University and hotel helped me with finding direction to SLU at Ultuna, outskirts of Uppsala.

We had booked a small double room and our expectation of the room was perhaps not at its peak. But already when we entered the reception, we sensed that "wow" it's nice here. We were checked in by a friendly receptionist. Allocated room was - ok - small but really nice. Appears to be newly renovated. Perfect size for a couple who likes closeness. The breakfast room is well proportioned and layout gives you a nice family feeling. In addition to this, a very well thought out breakfast is served.
We recommend the hotel for the above reasons paired with a perfect location with its proximity to Uppsala Central Station.

We were disappointed by breakfast where there were neither pancakes nor cappuccino machine. We have stayed at various Best Western hotels, there is always fresh orange juice and a waffle machine you can make yourself, here there is none! Not even own/homemade coffee bread.
The location is the only good thing!

Have stayed several times, in a variety of rooms. They are consistently vclean and comfortable, and the hotel itself is easy to access at all times. The breakfast is very good.

Weird creaky- dragging sounds on the ceiling started early in the morning. I went up at last to investigate....
Aha! It's the breakfast room. OK. I guess people are rearranging the tables and chairs.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Svava. It's the first European hotel we've ever stayed in. We missed some of the comforts of U.S. hotels, like a mini refrigerator and abundant ice, but the room and bed were so very comfortable. The bathroom was small but efficiently laid out and the shower pressure was good. We liked the fact that the windows opened for fresh air.
Please note that you will have to pay for parking and that the bar is very limited. But they do have a very nice coffee machine, with many choices like café latte and other hot drinks. The front desk is only open until 10:30 pm, so keep that in mind as well. Also, no washcloths and the soaps are on the wall.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with a great little mall in the same building. There's a few cafes and a full grocery store in the mall, so you can find almost anything you need.
Overall, we would stay here again.
