This property is elevated and a little off the beaten track which is why it has fantastic views (and Alpacas). We had a lovely big bedroom with a balcony and safe. We enjoyed the breakfast and coffee from the lovely dining room (again with views) and we ate here at night as the hotel is a little remote. The food was pretty good if a little overpriced. The service here could be improved, we didn't always find it the friendliest, which always goes a long way.

I am CEO and bir guide from South Birding Perú. And stayed at this hotel for 2 days and received the worst visitor reception ever. The resident manager jim pool or Mr. Pari, gave us no chance to clarify anything. None speak any language excep Alejandra in the restaurant, at the reception nobody explained to Us, how the lodge works, even in the room. Nobody told Us if breakfast was included or the time it opens. There was a girl in the reception who was complety lost and had no idea about our arrival and reservation and gave us rooms we did not asked. Administration led by Jim Pari or Jim pool was the worst ever had in my hotel trips. Woke my client up at 9:30pm for his passport even when they already had it. There was no way how to comunicate with somebody at the hotel because there was only a young girl who had not idea about our reservation. The manager reffered to my person as "el guía" and "el chófer" to my Driver, no respect at all. Never reffered to Us as visitor or client. Manager Mr. Jim Pari. Did not show any hotel education and respect to People. Any visitor who read this, make sure not to visit this Hotel since they do not have Experience People working in it. Not Recommended at all.

Lovely place with an authentic feel. The room was lovely and big, breakfast was nice. There are alpacas in the grounds for photo opps and a stream nearby. The only slight negatives are evening meals are quite expensive and it is a taxi ride away from town. I guess to get the elevation you need for the views it is necessary to travel off the beaten track a little, it is a compromise I suppose. Lovely experience though. Peace and solitude for a couple of nights.

Beautiful hotel. Amazing views. Friendly staff. We got in very late and the hotel was nice enough to keep the restaurant open late so we could eat. The rooms are clean and the area is beautiful. Morning breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately our last day there the power went out at some point and I’m not even sure when it came back on. Either way it was a great place to stay.

I suspect the grounds were very pretty but both nights I got in well past dark so those went unappreciated. The paths to the rooms were dark and not at all suitable for many ... uneven, hilly, cobblestones ... when I asked front desk for a room with less of a climb due to some health issues I was flatly turned down .... Hmmmm. Room was hot and took hours to cool down with the in-room noisy fan. Ordered room service 1 night and it took 45min to get 1 of the 3 items ordered. Staff in restaurant was very pleasant and continually checked in to ensure all was "good" .... food was delish ... I had a trout dish ... kudos to the Kitchen !

Beautiful grounds and wonderful staff. Part of a tour by Exoticca that included Machu Picchu and the Galapagos islands... The only disappointment was the hotel was a cab drive ways out of town with no restaurants within walking distance.

Spacious, luxurious and good food and service. Only complaint was that we weren't told before we arrived that we couldn't use our credit card to purchase dinner there. thrstr46je5jr6tj5ehaeheajkyjhgrfedfghj

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The hotel is not within walking distance to the main town, but it is a quick taxi ride (40 soles, USD 10) each way. That being said it being further away is a plus because it has a very large and beautifully set up. The hotel's rooms are very spacious and it was perfect for this trip with my buddy. I appreciate having the shower, toilet, and sink area divided so no waiting to get ready. The WIFI was fast and didn't drop signal. The bed was big, with lots of blankets, firm but comfortable. The room had a 32" TV which may seem smaller because of how large the room is. I don't travel to watch TV so wasn't a big deal. The room was clean and had multiple power outlets. The major plus was the friendly/knowledgeable staff. The host gave us great restaurant recommendations, ordered our taxi, and even surprised my buddy with a slice of birthday cake when we returned.

The hotel is a 15-minute drive up a dusty and bumpy road. I arrived around noon so needed some lunch. The restaurant doesn't serve lunch, so I had to get a taxi into town at S/40 each way. My taxi driver battled to find the hotel on our return. The hotel is situated in a very scenic area. The grounds are beautiful. The 4-day old alpaca was really cute. My room was close to reception, so I didn't have to drag my luggage over too many cobbled paths. My room was large and well decorated. It was a bit cold at times, but there were lots of blankets on the bed, so I slept well. The staff at reception were really friendly. My dinner was average. My server, Alejandra had been my server at the restaurant I ate lunch at in town. She was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a descent spread and was tasty. I am glad I was only staying for one night. There isn't much to do at the hotel.
