This five-star luxury hotel meets expectations with its excellent location. The lobby offers fantastic views, perfect for photos. While the room itself is spacious, the views are quite ordinary; the best photo opportunities are in the lobby. Overall, this is one of Urumqi's top hotels, and if your budget allows, it's a no-brainer.

The hotel excels in both its facilities and service. The breakfast and executive lounge offered a great variety of delicious options. Even before our arrival, Guest Relations Manager Russell proactively reached out to us to understand our preferences. After check-in, he promptly followed up to ensure our stay was going well. We were so comfortable that we extended our stay by an extra day, postponing our subsequent travel plans. There's no doubt that on our next visit to Urumqi, we'll choose Conrad again.

She proactively contacted us before arrival to arrange our room and was professional, calm, and incredibly patient and friendly with all our requests. She diligently followed up on everything, making us feel truly valued. Our stay at the Conrad Urumqi was a wonderfully heartwarming service experience.

The room was spotless. The breakfast was plentiful with lamb stew and steak, providing a good protein boost. Housekeeping was proactive and attentive, actively checking for any issues. Overall, a great experience. The location is superb, just a five-minute walk to the Xinjiang Museum and a fifteen-minute walk to the Xinjiang Art Museum.

Martin at the front desk was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We got a free suite upgrade, and complimentary breakfast and an extra bed for our child. We also received snacks, fruit, and a teddy bear upon check-in. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with a great view overlooking Urumqi from a high floor. The only downside was some water pooling in the bathroom due to poor drainage.

I have to give a huge shout-out to Candy at the Executive Lounge! She spoke fluent Cantonese, which made communication completely seamless. She was so thoughtful and meticulous, handling my pre-arrival arrangements perfectly. The lounge service was incredibly attentive and detailed. My second stay at the Conrad Urumqi was excellent! I felt such a strong sense of warmth and familiarity in a foreign land. Service was 10/10, and the experience was top-notch!

This hotel is located in the Meimei International Building in downtown Urumqi, making shopping and dining very convenient. However, being on a higher floor, the elevator can be a bit of a hassle, and the underground parking lot has very few spaces, which isn't very convenient. The breakfast is abundant, featuring traditional Xinjiang delicacies like 'Gangzi Lamb,' 'Bao'ersake,' and honey zongzi, all of which are quite good.

Environment: You can see snow-capped mountains from the lobby. Facilities: The bedding in the room was great, but the water pressure was a bit unstable. Service: I left something in the hotel and no one contacted me at first. Later, when I remembered, I contacted the butler and they were able to find it.

Our last stop in Xinjiang! After experiencing the hotels in Narati and the homestays in Turpan, it was a completely different feeling to be back in a big city. We pretty much decided on this hotel last minute, and it was a blind booking that turned out to be a great success! The hotel is right next to Meimei Shopping Mall, which made dining incredibly convenient. So convenient, in fact, that we didn't even feel the need to brave the crowds at the International Grand Bazaar, a must-visit for tourists! The breakfast was also very generous, with fresh squeezed juice, a wide variety of fruits, and the à la carte menu was delicious too!

The check-in process was great, very welcoming, and the service attitude was excellent. The stay was comfortable, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. If you're visiting Urumqi, you definitely have to pick this hotel; it's conveniently located near everything, including the bazaar.

The Conrad Urumqi boasts an excellent location, making travel convenient. Our luxurious king room was spacious with a simple yet elegant decor, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The service was professional and attentive, the facilities were top-notch, and the breakfast quality was outstanding. Overall, the stay was fantastic. It's a great choice for both business trips and leisure travel, highly recommended.

Facilities: This is a very old 5-star hotel. The duvets were torn and worn out, and so were the towels. Even the wall sockets were leaking electricity. The in-room facilities looked very old, and the bed was broken. The disposable toiletries in the room were worse than those in a 3-star hotel – very scratchy. There wasn't even soap in the room; we had to call the front desk to get some. The breakfast facilities were also rundown. All the utensils looked like they had been used for ages. Hygene: I really need to highlight the hygiene at this hotel. It claims to be Urumqi's top 5-star luxury hotel, yet the towels and bed sheets were discolored, as if they couldn't be washed clean. It felt like they had been used many times before. Every nook and cranny in the room was dusty. I even started to wonder if I had ever stayed in a 5-star hotel before. Ambiance: The overall environment felt more like a shopping district than a hotel. The hotel lobby on the ground floor was just a passageway. The 'lobby' on the 37th floor consisted of just two rooms, with a combined area probably less than 300 square meters. This kind of ambiance is something I'd expect from a Conrad, perhaps, but even there, the ceiling was quite low in the lobby. Service: The hotel's service was very slow. The service desk always had the same canned response: 'Let me look into it.' Before arriving, I actually had a good impression, as a front-office staff member called to ask what kind of room I preferred. It seemed promising. However, once I checked in, there was no service whatsoever. You call the front desk, and they always say, 'Let me look into it,' and then there's a long silence. We stayed for three nights. On the first day, the room wasn't even cleaned, and the disposable slippers and toiletries weren't replaced. When we came back in the evening, we had no choice but to ask for mineral water. We asked three times, and finally, they sent up a case of water. On the second night, we came back late and had to order room service. I won't comment on the price, as 5-star hotel food is inherently expensive, and we didn't find it unreasonable. We ordered beef noodles and beef wontons, but they were bland. I asked the front desk for some chili oil. Instead, they sent up a plate of dry chili noodles and a serving of chili oil. Honestly, I was speechless. Executive Lounge Benefits: Speaking of the executive lounge, it was just a small room. And no one ever invited us to go there. In the end, we decided not to bother. I don't know if I've never stayed in a 5-star hotel before, or if Ctrip's 5-star hotel rankings are flawed. This hotel, which claims to be the #1 5-star international chain hotel in Urumqi, felt like staying in the Urumqi Municipal Government Guesthouse. It was truly terrible. In the future, when booking hotels, never trust Ctrip's rankings – they are so misleading. Everything I've said above is supported by photographic evidence, for your reference. Please, do yourselves a favor and avoid this place. This is a hotel that charges 2500 RMB per night. I felt like my intelligence was insulted. Compared to the Hilton in Urumqi, it's miles apart, and the Hilton is even half the price. I have no idea where this hotel gets the confidence to operate like this. Is it because of their good relationship with Ctrip, or am I just a picky guest? If you don't believe me, go ahead and try it for yourselves!

Had a fantastic stay at Conrad Urumqi! The location is unbeatable—so convenient for getting around the city. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and the bed gave me some of the best sleep I've had in a while. A massive shoutout to all the staff members who were super friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help. The breakfast spread was lavish with plenty of great options, and the Executive Lounge was delightful as well—though the evening food presentation starts a bit late. Given the local time difference in Xinjiang compared to eastern China, it's totally understandable! I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Urumqi!
