What a wonderful hotel and experience. The hotel is brand new, clean and shining in every way. Very tastefully decorated. Big comfortable rooms. The hotel sits on beautiful grounds with spectacular scenery all around. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and helful staff. Very well located in order to explore the very lush and beautiful areas of Northern Portugal for a lovely and quiet getaway. The restaurant next door has very good local Portuguese food at reasonable prices with huge portions, with a very friendly owner, Jose, to guide it all. Great experience all around and highly recommended.

Cotto Do Gatto was by far the nicest place we have stayed in Portugal. The staff were very helpful, the whole place was perfectly clean and the breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We woke up to the sight of wild horses just 20m from our balcony. Just wish we could have stayed longer, hopefully we will return in the future.

New and super nice hotel, rooms decorated well, balcony with great view, nice pool, restaurant nearby if you want to have dinner. A lot of space outside and inside, stuff was great and helped with any request/concern we had. Highly recommend!

I first stayed at Cotto do Gato for a business event, and I enjoyed the experience so much that I knew I'd come back. I have now returned with my husband and pet dog and it was another wonderful experience. The staff is amazing, super friendly, polite and helpful. The room is very clean and comfortable and with a wonderful cosy feeling, not to mention the amazing view from the balcony. The breakfast has a lot of variety and once again the staff will provide with everything you need, including any special request. I know that this was not the last time I've stayed at Cotto do Gato.

This beautiful hotel exceeded our expectations. Surrounded by nature, we found the peace to relax we needed. We were very well received and for those who like to take their pet with them, this place is ideal, as it is 100% pet friendly. The breakfast is excellent, with lots of diversity and abundance. And the restaurant's food is delicious. We were overwhelmed by the kindness of the entire staff and we will be back soon!

This hotel was without a doubt one of the best I have ever had the opportunity to stay at. From the care for the guests, the decoration, the cleanliness and without a doubt, the suite I stayed in, which was an excellent surprise for me (Junior suite). There is a swing to enjoy a stunning view, to take a photo to remember that moment. I will recommend this hotel time and time again for a romantic getaway or even just to visit. Super familiar, I felt renewed energy when I left and I can only recommend it.

We have visited many hotels in Portugal, without a doubt this one is among the best!!! We stayed in the Junior suite, and we were very surprised from start to finish, the attention given at reception with a tour of the facilities up to the room with help with luggage. Regarding the room, it is simply fantastic with luxurious decoration, a huge room, a generous balcony, a large jacuzzi, bathrobes, mini bar, large bed, biscuits and water as a gift. The outdoor pool has fantastic views over the hills, with a poolside bar. Not to mention that the hotel has a swing with a phenomenal view!!! Congratulations to the management for providing us with this experience.
