The hotel is a perfect location, very easy access to the town and also a gorgeous unobstructed view of the mountains. It pretty quiet and peaceful.
The bathroom could use a little/ maintenance tidying up to feel more clean. But other than that everything was lovely! The room was really spacious and comfortable for two of us and it was totally worth paying a bit more for the balcony with a view. We watched the sunset from there one day and could see some hot air balloons and paramotorists.
The breakfast is pretty good, quite Asian/ Chinese. They have some yogurt, fruits, baked goods and chicken sausage and bacon but most of the other food is Chinese. Good variety though! They had gluten free cereal on request but sadly it wasn’t very good.
The hotel helped us to book tours and their communication was really good. The WiFi is also great!

The hotel's facilities are outdated, and the hygiene is subpar. I'd say it's the worst Amari I've ever stayed at, a far cry from the ones in Vientiane and Thailand. The shower in the room actually scalded me – the water would go from ice cold to extremely hot (nearly 70-80 degrees Celsius). I ended up having to take a cold shower. The drainage in the shower area was also problematic. The next day, there was still a lot of standing water, and the toilet had a terrible odor.
The hotel's location is excellent, and the views are good, but the service and hardware are quite mediocre. The breakfast was also unappetizing with very few options. I won't choose this hotel again on my next visit to Vang Vieng.
