Me and my boyfriend went 3 days to this beautiful resort. November 15 to November 17. The staff and personel is amazing and very nice. Marbelis ❤️ at the public relations always came to check and see if everything was OK. It's a beautiful resort, small and very cozy. I felt at home at this resort. I love having a coffee in the morning with a beach view. Walking distance to different restaurants and bars. I plan on returning in April for 2 weeks ❤️❤️❤️❤️ see you all in April

Stayed here in the last week of January with my lady friend.. was a very inexpensive all inclusive. The hotel itself probably could use some renovations soon but the staff is amazingly friendly. Coffee bar has great coffee in the morning. Great drinks... restaurant buffet was normal Cuban fair but always fresh and tasty.. great omelets for breakfast... looking for a budget friendly hotel in varadero... I'd highly recommend!

WORST RESORT EVER!! Don’t waste your $$ staying here.. NO HOT WATER for showers for the full two weeks. Been to Cuba 6 times and never experienced this. Sheets not changed the full two weeks. Medication stolen from room. Reported to front desk.. didn’t care. Salamanders and cockroaches in room. Staff very rude except for two bartenders at the pool bar. Both younger males.. very nice. Some very shady Cubans staying here. Saw we had a few $$ as we bought his daughter some trinkets. Trying to lure us off resort. Again we reported it and nothing done. Big eye opener for us. Never Again!!

The only reason this is a one is because it can’t go any lower. My husband and I have stayed at Los defines several times in the past and, while it has never been top notch, the rooms were clean and food was ok for Cuba. Unbeknownst to us, it appears Sunwing had taken over ownership - well whether this was due to the change in ownership or other factors, the resort has gone way down. To start, we were initially given a room that stank of cigarette smoke. We asked to be moved and were given one that did not smell. There was no mattresses protector on the bed, showing the stained mattress underneath. We had to firmly request a top sheet as there was only a single sheet on the mattress and a folded blanket on the bed - similar to a prison. The pillow was flat and when I requested another, was told there were none. The room had no hot water. There were tiny ants all over the room. The air conditioning did not work after the first night - told the room attendant- it was never fixed during our 10 day stay. The fridge did not work and leaked water - told room attendant- she took one of the towels from the bathroom and left it by the fridge. The towels in the room were frayed and grey and the sheet, which were never changed, had holes in them. The hair dryer did not work and the bathroom shower stall was filthy. The nest of the tiny ants was in the corner of the bathroom. One morning I woke up to fine larger ants crawling all over the floor and up the curtains. The room attendant got rid of those thank goodness. Then it rained two days and all the water flowed down the walkway and into our room leaving a big puddle on the floor. Then the mosquitos came and, with no air conditioning, we had the choice of trying to sleep in a hot, 95% humidity room, or to open the windows to let some of the cooler night air in - along with mosquitos. As for the food - coffee was only available with breakfast. Butter for the bread was sometimes there, but never at dinner. With the exception of the one hot table, where they would fry pork or fish for you, everything else was cold - rice etc. the fish was very fishy so that was out - and the pork grizzly, so I basically had ice cream and fruit for dinner. When there was bread and butter, I would have that too. There was no cheese or cold cuts available except at breakfast. Water was the only thing to drink other than orange Fanta. If you drank, you only had wine an available once a week. You could go afterward to the “bar” to have coffee or cocktails, but the cold drinks were not alcohol free, other than Fanta. I could not wait for the “vacation” to end. The only good thing is the location in the centre of varadero. The beach was beautiful too. The staff were nice too, but all had an attitude of powerlessness, shrugging things off with a ‘This is Cuba’ . Why this resort would even be offered by Sunwing as a place to stay is beyond me. If you are a travel company offering vacation packag

I started my visits to Cuba from 1996. Been here many many times. I thought I saw it all. But Cuba surprised me again. My travel agency change my hotel last minute. So instead Club Tropical I went to Los Delphines. And I will tell you. I never see anything like that before. I usually give Cuba a credit. Life is tough. I understand. I’m helping a lot of people here. And don’t usually leave reviews. But in hotel for foreigners!!!! No hot water. Toilet ball falling on the floor. No bed sheets. When I asked for one so I can use it as cover. They told me they don’t have it. Not at all. All bed sheets and pillow cases are old and have mold. See photos. I found cockroach in bathroom. Food is horrible even for Cuba. Probably worse food I had in Cuba. I was booked here until 2 of January. But I’m leaving today to private house. Just went to have lunch. The guy who worked grill gave me an attitude when I asked him to prepare for me normal pieces of fish. Not fish tail ends he got left. Alejandro his name. Look what he surprised me with. And I also gave him a tip before hands. People in reception, coffee bar and cleaning lady were nice. Beach and location is great.

Vacation from hell. The food was bad, no vegetables, fruit, etc. Most of the staff were fantastic and try very hard to accommodate for the poor conditions and just say "it's Cuba" when tourists comment. Many areas on the resort (including restaurant) had pools of water which made it very slippery. My sister fell and had to be hospitalized for 2+ days as she had fractured her wrist (which a horrible ordeal). The hospital said she couldn't leave unless she received the release document. All I wanted was to get her on the next plane. When we did get to the airport with that paper, customs said it wasn't necessary. I myself had actually 2 near Falls. Save your money, don't go to Cuba, I'm told most resorts are having problems with food and many European partners are pulling out and some hotels are closing. Don't go, change your destination country. I will try to upload videos of selection of food in restaurant.
