Cocogiri Island Resort Maldives

Cocogiri was just what we were hoping for and more! The island is small and I would say don’t come here if you require an active holiday full of noise, battle for sunbeds and loud music! If you crave peace and tranquility and the best service staff can possibly provide with an unbelievable turquoise sea and fantastic marine life and the best food from an amazing chef and team then come!!! We spent 11 nights here after a very tough year and we couldn’t have come to a better place! The house reef is phenomenal, there are trips on offer - we went to Fulidhoo and saw the other side of the Maldives as it is an island for locals and island hoppers and we saw many rays being fed tuna on the beach! There are other trips available too and we were told the shark trip was amazing! We used the spa which was excellent! Our room was a water villa which I would recommend unless you really need the beach under your toes every morning! Herons came to visit us - the most amazing fish, young tuna jumping in the water, then on our last night a gorgeous turtle swam around our villa for at least 15 minutes it made the end of our holiday so so special The weather was beautiful for the whole stay ☀️ Tina the Manager was away during our stay but we were so taken care of by her ladies in charge each day asking how we were, nothing was too much trouble - waiters in the dining room and bar were amazing and as I said the food is a dream and so much variety - every single day the chef and his team deserve a special mention - we are pescatarian and there was so much to choose, vegetarians were easily catered for and reception provided soya milk in our room for my husband. Maldives has our hearts now and we long to return, however I was saddened by the use of plastic at the resort and would dearly love to see that change in the future ….. Cocogiri - you’re the best, thank you thank you thank you for the holiday of a lifetime 🩵💙🐢🐠🐟🦀🦑

Nothing else to say but it’s paradise! The staff are amazing and everything about it was out of this world. Please go and check it out for yourself, you’ll never look back but you’ll be sad to leave. It’s genuinely the best place we’ve ever been.

A very small island with beautiful scenery. We stayed here from the 12th of May 2024 in a beach villa. The sand/sea views are amazing, and the villa is spacious. The sealife here is amazing, and I would say the best coral out of the 4 islands I have visited. The food is lovely, very Indian based meals, which we like, they do amazing vegetarian meals and other meals from different nationalities, always a meal which is tasty. I feel like I have put on a stone in weight whilst here. Staff are polite and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. We came in monsoon season, but it was great , sun , wind which I need and few downpours, not a problem at all. We did the snorkeling & turtle tour, and it was fantastic. The dive team was fantastic, and we were helped by the young dive crew, who was brilliant with us two who were nervous and not really comfortable with swimming around with big nursing sharks. But it was one of the best things I've ever done. We had a lovely relaxing time , met some lovely holiday makers too. Would o return No as I like to explore other atols. My friend wants to bring her husband here, so she wants him to experience cocogiri. Bring sea shoes and snorkeling gear, absolutely fabulous. Have a great time, I am sure you will. Speed boat journey certainly woke us both up, we found the speed boat great.........

We had a OWV room 210 sunset side. Fantastic sunsets watched from the villa.. Very chilled atmosphere at this resort. All staff were very attentive & a particular thank you to Sanjay who served us on our candlelight dinner on the beach. Tina the manager was super efficient and went the extra mile when we mentioned a blown light bulb & a small leak from the roof after a storm which was attended to straight away.. she couldn’t do enough for you. Excellent choice of food always fresh & plentiful. Amazing Reef superb corals & sea life to see. This is not a party island..but this island resort is just perfect for a complete chill down. The only negative was the lack of a shaded area on the deck as there is absolutely no shade after midday.. We would definitely love to visit Cocogiri again.

JUST WOW !!!! Where do I begin?? From the moment we were met at the airport to the last moment we were leaving, we were met with enthusiasm, professionalism and a very welcoming smile from the most helpful and friendly staff !!! A big credit to Tina and her team We stayed in OWV with swim Jacuzzi 220, we requested this room and we were so pleased it was fulfilled. What a fantastic room, but saying that all rooms are fab and private and big and well looked after. Our room was not ready when we arrived early in the morning but we were given a complimentary room to shower and rest, a fantastic thing to do rather than just having to hang around as you normally have to do in hotels. Husband had an ear infection and Tina gave him antibiotic drops immediately we did however have to go to the local island to see the Dr again all organised for us by Tina and team. Food amazing, I do love spicy food, there was also pasta dishes etc for those that want different. Dive centre staff fabulous and so friendly and helpful, 10 out of 10 for them !! Reef and sea life amazing all around the Island. A fantastic relaxing holiday and to us was like being on your on private Island, not one that's over commercialised . Lovely smiling helpful reception ladies, We will be back !! If you want that proper Maldivian Island feel Don't hesitate just book it!!!

For anyone who wants peace in paradise this is a must. Cocogiri is a beautiful small island, it is blissfully quiet and informal. We stayed in a beach villa which was literally on the beach with an uninterupted view of the Western Indian Ocean and we were only a few metres from a lovely lagoon close to the house reef which was a Mecca for snorkelling. The host Tina and all the team are polite, friendly and professional, and are keen to help make your stay the best. The small dive centre run by Gan and Sarah is a well organised set-up. They cater for all levels of diver, are knowledgable about all aspects of diving in the Maldives and tropics in general and worked well with a tireless dive boat crew who are very attentive and made dive preparation a walk on the beach. As for the food in the resort restaurant, if you like Asian, East Asian and European cuisine this is the place to go. The food is heavenly. We couldn’t believe the wide choice for a small resort. The chefs there did an excellent job in the daily preparation of freshly cooked food and salads. The all inclusive bar was value for money and branded drinks are available but we were happy with the house drinks. This is a place where we would happily return, it’s a special place. If you want noise and a full on party don’t go. If you want peace, tranquility in a luxurious setting this is the place for you.

A small, very well-kept resort, perfect for those seeking tranquility and relaxation in the midst of nature, crystal clear waters and a beautiful reef. All the staff are very kind and Tina, the manager, always does everything possible to accommodate guests' requests. Very well organized diving, excellent service and team, beautiful dives. Well prepared food although very spicy and with Indian influences, for those like me who don't like this type of cuisine a few more dishes with a Mediterranean flavor would be appreciated. Overall super recommended.

Just back from Cocogiri resort which is a beautiful resort. Before going we were a bit apprehensive as our group of six had three vegetarians but the food was excellent with choice of Asian and continental dishes and variety of veg dishes.Tina the manager at the resort was excellent at looking after the guests. Hats off to her for working long hours and still having a smile anytime you meet her and nothing was too much trouble for her.We stayed in overwater villa with pool jacuzzi (no.220) which was the last villa and the views from the room were excellent. Fantastic sunrise and sunset views.

We've just returned from spending 11 nights on this beautiful island. We had the best time and will definitely return! The island is very small and very personal. Tina the manager is a lovely lady and will do what she can to make your holiday special. She is always around and makes an effort to speak to everyone and see how their day has been. All the staff were lovely, the bar men, waiters, chefs, cleaners, reception are a credit to the island. It is the perfect place to just relax and unwind and enjoy your surroundings. If you are looking for a party island then this is not the place for you. It has one bar and one restaurant and live music twice a week. The rooms are very spacious with high ceilings, aircon, wifi, tv, minibar (payable), safe, kettle etc. We got to experience both as we had a complimentary beach villa on arrival until our overwater villa was ready. They are both lovely and have supplies of shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, body lotion and amenities. We thought the food variety was excellent for such a small island. I am a very fussy eater and could always find something to eat. The chef at the cooking station will always cook you up some rice, pasta, noodles etc without the spices if you prefer something plain. I was celebrating my 60th birthday whilst there and they gave me a lovely cake and decorated the bed for when we returned to our room. Any issues with the room, maintenance, housekeeping were dealt with very promptly. We took the speedboat transfer to the island which was nice but a little choppy. We did wait over an hour for the transfer but that was because we had to wait for some people to arrive on another flight. We did one excursion with Meridis to swim with the nurse sharks and the turtles. The staff were so helpful with my partner as he has a sight problem. He was a bit apprehensive as he was worried he would bump into the sharks. As soon as he got in the water with the guide he felt so comfortable. They helped him to get right up next to them and he said it was a fantastic experience he will never forget. Many thanks to all the dive crew, you are very kind. We really don't have any negatives but if we had to say anything then on our last day we had new people in the water villa next to us. They had children with them and unfortunately the young boy kept jumping off the decking and shouting every time he jumped. What had been a lovely quiet place just to sit listening to the waves then became more of an adventure park with shouting and splashing around. This is not a negative against the island but more the behaviour of these guests. We had a wonderful time. The island is beautiful and clean. We loved the snorkelling and seeing lots of different fish. Tina is a star and such a kind soul. We can't wait to return!
