The location is perfect, very easy to find and just steps from San Marco. The room is quite large, especially for Venice. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable (I'd love to buy a similar pillow, but I forgot to ask about the model), and the room is warm – a steady 23°C, which is important when you come in from the cold outside. The bathroom is large, with a decent-sized shower. A complimentary bottle of water, coffee capsules, tea, and a couple of hot chocolate packets are provided daily.
The breakfast is simple, but hearty. You can ask for a bacon scrambled eggs.
The hotel has an elevator, which was important to us.
The staff is friendly, but a bit laid-back – one day they forgot to finish cleaning our room.
They left a trash can on a chair, cleaning spray and a cloth on another, and forgot to change the towels. It's as if they started cleaning, got distracted, and forgot to come back and finish.
But it was more funny than it was offensive.
Besides, we stayed at the hotel for almost a week, and such an incident only happened once. And it really was funny.
