Hotel Guerrato

There is no hotel guerrato, only Pansione guerrato, which basicly mean boarding house guerrato. It really is a boarding house and not a hotel. There is no service as you expected from a hotel. Very basic room, No tv/ fridge/safe/Tea coffee /kettle. Not even have cup or glass tumbler. Only bed. Two bed in my room are sterl frame foldable and very filmsy. Property is very very old and worn out, not even properly maintained, there are lots of safety hazards around the property. Need a lot of LTC. 1. The shower screen is missing a door, water splashed out to floor when showering and make it very slippery on tile floor, my son fell to the ground, lucky his arm and leg is not broken.. 2. The table lamp has broken wire and can only switch on by plug in and off by unplug the wall plug. I spilled water on table and got a instant electric shock, had to jump off bed to unplug the light. A young kid could get killed by the shock. 3. Entrance door lock does not work properly, it can't be locked from inside, We have to put luggages to block the entrance during night. 4. The property has 7 floors and no lift, no servce. Stairs are very narrow and steep. The square edges on each steps are all worn out, step edge is round and very slippery. It is very scary when you try to take a heavy luggage down stairs. The only new stairs is from 1st to 2nd floor as showed on their listings photo. All other's are old and worn. There are about 60-70 steps in total. If you don't have big muscle and strong back. Just forget it.and there are no service to help you. All DIY. 5.When I first got to the property, the reception lady held a pet dog and was talking to a customer, We ( family of four )are second in the queue, then another family of four came behind us. Total 8 people's waiting there and watch the lady only use one hand to type on computer while hold the pet, after a while, the dog start to jump and hiding under lady's chair and then run away. What a drama. a simple inquiry took 21 minutes and totally ignore there are 8 guests waiting in line. 6. When we are checking in. The staff try to over charge us on tax, I then showed them the correct amount, and all payment there had to be cash. No card. When I asked for receipt, it then became a bit unfriendly. 7. Breakfast there has very tight time slot for each guest like boarding school. If your schedule doesn't match theirs. Then bad luck. We could not make to the time slot they give us. So we missed all the two day's breakfast. Again there are no service and no take away or flexable arrangment. Everything even a tiny adjustment is just too hard for them. 8. The floor structure is worn and everytime. even a gentle walk on floor make it shake and you can feel all the furniture shake around and you will dininitely know when the people above your floor move. 9. Bath towel is not young and not changed everyday.

in love with our stay, the nearest stop is rialto mercato, just 100 meter walk. Perfect location to visit the main attractions. you whether can use vaporetta (water bus) or walk to the attractions. They also managed to get us vegan breakfast on top of that, really appreciate this gesture. The communication is smooth. But the only downside is the did not have lift, luckily we get the lowest floor, but i guess nothing can be done because this is one of the oldest building.
