I stayed solo for one night in June as part of a 6 property road trip, so this review is relatively objective. Easily found just outside (walkable distance) the village in a beautiful quiet rural location with great views of the valley and mountain. Plenty of parking space. Real old school chateau which hasn’t been overly restored - just full of charm and character. Welcoming host - schoolboy French sufficed, Spacious and very comfortable bedroom with a modernised bathroom. There is no lounge should the weather confine guests indoors. Fabulous vaulted ceiling restaurant, although I opted to eat outside on a very pleasant evening. Judging by previous reviews, think the kitchen had an off night as my Osso Buck was tough and gristly. Rest of the meal was fine, as was breakfast. Patchy wi-if. If in the area again I’d definitely return.
