The Stanley and Livingstone Boutique Hotel

The hotel is a real gem. Rooms are very comfortable, staff is extremely attentive and food is delicious.What´s more, it´s inside a game reserve so you get to see giraffes, zebras and buffalos from your room´s balcony. The comman areas are very spacious and tastefully decorated.

We had the most wonderful stay here. The hotel is absolutely stunning and the staff are wonderful and incredibly impressive. We had 2 interlocking suites which had views over the watering hole and every day we saw zebra, giraffe and impala. We also did the rhino game drive and saw 4 of them. Our guide was also very knowledgeable and clearly loved his job. My son was unwell soon after we arrived having got an ear infection in Cape Town. The hotel organised for a doctor who came out at night within an hour. I cannot recommend this place enough. Having now moved on to another 5 star hotel in Botswana we are appreciating the Stanley’s attention to detail even more and realising just how unique it is. Definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

What an exceptional place! We came here to celebrate my milestone bday and it was the best decision we made. From the room to the waiter, the wild life game drives and the food oh yes the food… All was like a dream come true! Would highly recommend it to everyone looking for a personalized experience and exceptional service.

It was just wonderful. The place is like paradise. The team tries to fulfill every wish. The rooms are very comfortable and extra clean. The Chef prepares all the plates with love. They are all delicious and the service in the restaurant is great. We have been in many places but the Livingstone Boutique Hotel is one of the very best. We only can recomment this place if you want to do wonderful safaris, visit the impressive Victoria Falls or make unforgettable cruises on the Sambesi. All this is possible at this wonderful hotel

Our three-day stay at the Stanley and Livingstone Hotel was a real highlight! The hotel setting in the beautiful gardens, overlooking its own private game park, is exceptional - a perfect location to sit and relax, while watching a variety of wildlife and the amazing birdlife. Our huge room was meticulously maintained and was probably the most memorable we have ever stayed in. Both the quality of the food and the service were excellent. Our stay marked a perfect end to our family reunion!

We stayed at the Ursala Homestead, which are the bungalows in their own private area. We felt so pampered! Millie arranged everything for us, which included safaris, a dinner cruise and high tea at the Stanley & Livingston. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and how we were treated. Particularly Sikhulu, our safari guide and tracker. He did not give up until he found us some elephants! This will go down as one of the highlights in my life. We saw 4 of the big 5 and got the real African bush experience. (except thank goodness we didn't sleep in the bush!)

Stanley & Livingstone is the most beautiful boutique hotel perched on the very edge of an exquisite private game reserve. What a truly unforgettable holiday. Just a short drive from Victoria Falls, you are away from the hustle and bustle of the town as well as the constant helicopters flying overhead. We stayed as a family for 7 nights end March early April 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The highlight of our stay, without a doubt, was the evening game drive followed by the bush dinner. Absolutely magical, our children are still talking about it most especially as we saw a black rhino on the drive back to the hotel. There are animals everywhere and we enjoyed sitting by the pool at sunset watching the impala, udu (spelling?), giraffe and baboons at the nearby waterhole. One cannot possibly spend a week at S&L without saying a few words about the exceptional team that really helped make our holiday. Without exception, they were kind, courteous, warm, helpful and empathetic. Huge thanks to each and every person but most especially: Tapiwa - thank you for sorting all our trips and your patience with our changing plans. Rose, Daisy, Millie and Mo - for your warmth and kindness every day. Again Millie - for being so lovely and arranging for our clothes to be laundered when we came home wet and filthy. Brutus, Alton and Tulani - our fantastic servers who anticipated our each and every need. You knew our breakfast order better than we knew it ourselves - thank you! Jabu - our wonderful chef who was so friendly, humble and kind and was happy to adapt to some of our dietary requirements. Last but by no means least - Michael - thank you for the two fabulous game drives that you treated us to. You went above and beyond to show us the most incredible experiences. Thanks to you we saw hippos, giraffes, elephants, black rhinos, zebras and all number of primates and impala. Thank you also for introducing us to your deputy - we enjoyed so much meeting you both and sharing the special morning with you.

This is a fantastic hotel with amazing staff who make you feel at home. Everything about this place deserves 5 stars: the rooms, decor, attention to detail, food, sustainability efforts (we did not see anything plastic!), but most importantly people - everyone was professional, friendly and very helpful! We absolutely recommend this place, please book it without hesitation 😊 We can’t wait to go back!

Adding to the 5 ⭐️ reviews. Everything was exquisite from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed- literally with a nice warm towel for our hands & face. Critical after a trip with a toddler. The food was amazing. While the rest of the world has stopped cleaning hotel rooms at S& L they did two cleanings or maybe the other was just evening service. Either way AMAZING. Babysitter was the best, it’s hard to get away from small children but we felt completely reassured that our little one was in good hands. They planned all activities. We were wanting for nothing. The staff was the best. I add that black families shouldn’t shy away from coming here. I know travel can be unkind but you won’t experience any of that here (I hope) we have been very happy, we plan to come back again and again.
