Getreidemarkt 10 Serviced Apartments

We booked this property late in 2022. Then we decided to extend our stay and the property was very helpful in accommodating our request, However, on the 3rd of April 2023 we received a message stating that our booking was cancelled, without any explanation for the reason. There was not easy to find an equivalent accommodation. Checking the prices, we noticed that they've gone up quite a bit. We suspect that this was the reason for not honouring the agreement. Whatever is the cause, such attitude is disgusting.

Had a cancellation policy for customers but that is not reciprocal as the venue cancelled on just just days before arrival . Blaming Covid yet Austria and Vienna lifted all restrictions for vaccinated travellers Very poor communication Avoid , lots of other more reliable , better quality , better value accommodation in the city

This apartment complex occupies the top 2 floors of an old apartment building and is very well located for Central Vienna, little more than a 10 minute walk to all the major sites - both cultural and retail. Check in is fully automated but clear instructions are provided beforehand, so no issues here. First the good points - The studio room has comfortable beds, adequate storage space and a good size bathroom with walk-in shower. Water pressure to my mind could have been a little stronger. Service is very prompt and pleasant - If you ask they deliver! Now the quibbles one minor and one major. - The kitchenette was on the small side and difficult to work on, both for food preparation and electrical sockets. Kept having to switch plugs between the kettle toaster and coffee machine. But the big issue for us was no wash baisin in the toilet, so you either had to use the kitchen sink or walk across the apartment to the bathroom which was very annoying. To summarise, this apartment provides good value for money right in the center of Vienna, but lacks a few features which in my opinion would increase its rating
