Apartamentos Turisticos Pinhal Da Marina

Paid good money for a very very basic hotel/apartments, I expected more tbh. Paid an extra £10 for a garden view rather than the pool area, what a total rip off. Not a lot but the principle of charging extra when there were only about 8 other people staying in the premises of about 90 apartments!! 'Restaurant' - is a pool side cafe and bar, total rip off and charges double the prices of Vilamoura harbour where you'd expect higher prices! I mean, £40 for two pizzas to takeaway with drink (beer 6euros!) and then charge for the boxes for the pizzas! really? This is not a restaurant!!! I described this lace to my wife as 'Spain, 1st holiday in the 1980's' that's how everything is. Not great at all. Twin beds in a one-bed apartment? really? And small singles too!!!!! :( Terrible Breakfast (decent) - advertised as 8am onwards. On arrival we're told it's actually 830am which happened to be later than our pick-up time coming home so I mentioned this to Jet2 holidays who said you may miss a meal thats what happens. Well, we were 25mins from the airport and had a midday flight so did not need to be picked up 3.5hrs prior to this !! Jet2 not interested, Pinhal reception not interested. Oh well, lesson learnt fingers burnt. This place is too far from the Harbour if you have lack of mobility which we haven't, so be choosy in selecting this place.

Beautiful complex. Immaculately clean, lovely pools & staff. 20 minute stroll to the marina. Little bit of a hill going back but I managed it even with my sciatica. I have stayed in both the studios & pool view apartments which over look the lower pool which we prefer as its quieter & warmer. We have booked again for September as we love it so much here. Only negatives are no oven in the studios or one bedrooms & the on-site restaurant is a little pricey but the food & drinks were good. Little hint…. Seek out link & drink cocktail bar on your walk back from the marina….. Thank me later 😊

A good cheap holiday. Apartments clean and well equipped. We had a 2 bedroom and it had an oven, which doesn't seem to be the case in all rooms. Only gripe was the balcony (which was a good size) barely had any sun and I like to sunbathe whilst the teens wake up! Had 1 problem, which was sorted within the hour. The pools were good and plenty of space. We were self catering so didn't use the restaurant. The bar was small and basic. Ok for beers and coke around the pool but we wouldn't use it at night. The local area was nice enough, the hill wasn't too bad at all. There are several supermarkets within a 15 minute walk. Vilamoura was pricey- you're looking at England prices for food and drink.

A a lovely complex, very clean and quite. A little dated in the apartments but still fantastic value and the staff are very friendly. 20 minute walk from the marina. Loads of onsite parking as well, a couple of pools meaning you can stay away from the noise of the kids pool if you like.

The beds are comfortable, extremely clean. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. The kitchenette has everything you will need. The grounds are well maintained. Room 2101 was very moldy smelling so we switched to room 7000, made a world of difference that’s why I gave it a five star, otherwise my rating would have been much lower.

On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who got us checked in very quickly and gave us maps and directions to other areas within the town. Our two-bed apartment was on the fourth floor with a lift and we were pleasantly surprised with how well equipped the apartment was - certainly much better than any other self catering holidays we've been on. The apartment and all of the communal areas were very clean and location-wise it was very peaceful. Jet2 had mentioned that there were building works going on nearby and there are four/five villas being built on the eastern side of the complex but we weren't affected by it/any noise. There are two pool areas, both of which are well set out and with lots of capacity for sun loungers. The first of the two pool areas also hosts the restaurant. We ate here one evening and the food was ok, but nothing to get excited about - the waitress was lovely though. The grounds of the complex are well matured so there is a lot of shade and it feels very tranquil. The location is a bit of walk outside of town though, and up a steep hill, so download the Uber app if you don't fancy the uphill trip on an evening! The average was €3.75 before tip, which is a bargain. Ideal for a chilled out holiday, but if you fancy something more lively it's not for you.

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, lovely clean apartment and surroundings, peaceful and quiet but close enough tto the marina for lovely restaurants and bars . Definitely worth a visit, and will go back.

We are on our last day 😞 of another wonderful week here at Pinhal. We absolutely love it here & have already booked for our 4th visit next May. The apartments are well equipped & clean. If you prefer a little more modern accommodation then book a pool view apartment. This time we booked a garden apartment which was perfectly acceptable & very peaceful. 2 great swimming pools, the lower one is quieter & some good outside sports (tennis court, pool table & children’s play equipment) Nice little restaurant which we used for lunch a couple of times. Staff very friendly & helpful. About a 10 minute walk to the local shop (jafars is better than spar) & 20 minutes to the Marina. Vilamoura is a lovely safe town with loads to do. Make sure you do a boat trip. We did the dolphin watching which was brilliant. Ubers are very cheap & reliable so don’t let the comments about the hill put you off. The pay off is being in a very peaceful area with beautiful flowers & palm trees surrounded by stunning villas. For value for money this place cannot be beaten hence us booking again. Couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else now. MAJOR TIP Walk down to Link & Drink cocktail bar. Do not let it’s appearance put you off. Tony & his wife do the best cocktails in town & the cheapest. He is a master cocktail maker. The frozen margaritas can’t be beaten.

Our second holiday here. First time we had a pool view apartment which was superb! This year we had a garden view. Not as good. Bedroom smelt “musty” as it never got any sunlight. Apartment was clean and well equipped but dark and too sheltered by the trees. A comment from many people we talked to is that there really should be somewhere to take a shower if you have a late flight home. We had to squeeze into a small toilet just off reception and have a wash in the sink! Not acceptable this day and age! Surely a room could be adapted. Even if you need to book a time??!! Very disappointing for 2023.
