Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean and breakfast was more than adequate to start you up for the day. Reviews have said needs updating as old and tired ,it is a old traditional hotel which is modernised would spoil the hotel as can clearly see it is period hotel. Lovely to have pool on site as really warm weather, had evening meal once during our stay which was lovely and not over expensive .would Definately stay again ,staff really pleasant

The breakfast was nice and generous. We were part of a tour and many tour groups use the hotel. I thought the service was great from the staff. Our room was large with a large closet. The only drawback was that it was quite noisy outside at night, so difficult to get to sleep. There is a restaurant and a cocktail bar and nice outdoor areas.

We stayed at this hotel whilst on a Cosmos Tour. In the spirit of fairness I will firstly say that the hotel is charming. It’s antique and vintage styling in beautiful to experience. Rooms well appointed. Bed wasn’t great and pillow ordinary at best. An elderly lady on our tour (who doesn’t post on Trip Advisor) had no lights or power in her bathroom. The staff showed little interest and offered her no solution despite the dangerous situation as bathroom very dark. We also had groups of teenagers (school groups) staying throughout the hotel. They ran the corridors, banged doors and basically had a party in and out of rooms until 2.40 am. Despite many complaints the hotel seemed to do very little about this. I would love to rate the hotel higher because the building itself really does deserve it. Our particular experience is worthy of 3 stars only. Disappointing stay in such a beautiful location

Fabulous hotel. Just returned from a stay here and would throughly recommend. All staff were welcoming polite and went out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Front of house staff wonderful particularly Sergio who went out of his way to help us however he could. Room’s adequate and cleaned well they had a small fridge and air con which was much needed in the August heat. Breakfast food tasty with enough to choose from. Wonderful location for day trips to Florence and Pisa.Will definitely return.

The swimming pool smelled salty like too much urine from the many children playing in the water. The room was in an adjoining section across the street on the second floor or first floor above the street, as such being handicapped or elderly the isolation can be an issue in an emergency. The balcony over the street life was enjoyable, with nice ambiance without being loud, if you close the balcony doors there is no sound. What really ruined our stay were the male waiters. One cut in between us without excusing himself while we were in line for dinner, another rudely belittled my Mother who although on the pre paid meal plan wanted better treatment paying for the full menu if we could be seated by a window and order seafood which was not on the preplanned all you can eat heaping dishes for tourists. The hotel restaurant has a two tier service, one prepaid with lots of filler like pasta, and another for paying customers with specialized dishes. Being dissapointed the next day we had three courses with seafood at a nearby restaurant, La Cascina, for just about 100 Euros.

Good location some 10 min walk to hot spring and center. Ambitious interior with elegant old style furniture. Pool is nice but not heated so the water is a rather cold in July. Very difficult parking in the basement.Pillars are obstructing movement of even small car so you need time and patient to get out not scratching sides.
