This was perfect in location, Charm and service! I had missed my train to Italy so decided to stay in Villach and found this Hotel in the center of Downtown- The city downtown with cobblestonw Syreeta and multicolored buildings with the fall leaves and bells ringing just a delight that made a day full of lemons into lemonade! The room was well appointed and it’s in the little thing that makes a stay welcoming- Breakfast was full of a variety of hot and cold food- Fresh breads and good coffee!

Tired hotel room with dated furnishings and threadbare carpet. Most uncomfortable foam mattress ever. Looked out onto busy side road instead of main square. Disappointing as pictured were clearly of the rooms in the renovated section of the hotel. Biggest positives were delicious breakfast and great location.

Located at the end of the bridge over the Drava river and at the very beginning of the pedestrian area, the hotel continues an old tradition: the building has been used as an inn – and later as a hotel – since the second half of the XIX century. The rooms have been recently renovated and furnished with good taste, and they are wide and spotless. The breakfast offers quite a variety of different food, and you will find some nice pieces of pottery with elegant blue and withe patterns. Good value for money and very helpful and friendly staff.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Goldenes Lamm in Villach. This is a delightful old building which has been lovingly restored and has retained many of it's original features. The rooms are off a sunny corridor which has a terrace at the end. Both the bathroom and the room were very spacious and nicely furnished with old pieces of furniture. Big bed! As the weather was very hot we were glad of the conditioning. Breakfast was good and varied. We had a minor query which the staff dealt with quickly and efficently. Although not owned by the same people there is a restaurant and bar in the same building which we used a couple of times and we can also recommend. I really have no negitive comments about this hotel and will book again when we return to Villach.It's located at the start of the main Hauptplatz so a very convenient location and within a couple of minutes walk from the station.

Who gave this hotel such a good review?! STEVIE WONDER or something?! I mean, are you kidding me?! I've been traveling for over ten years, but sleeping on a cot in Saudi Arabia was better! I relied on your review, I mean, seriously, what a disgrace!

Arrival: check-in was quick and uncomplicated, everything was explained to us briefly and we were told that we could park our vehicle in a parking garage 10 minutes away on foot. Cost: €7.50/day The hotel itself only has a tiny inner courtyard with zero turning space and maybe 2 parking spaces in total! Room: ok apart from the cleanliness above the bed... it looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Bathroom was ok. Room quite small for 2 people. No mini bar in the room, but there was a self-service bar downstairs in the lobby with items to take away. Breakfast: standard buffet, limp rubber rolls, tarnished cold cuts and by 9am the extremely hectic staff were already clearing up. Tables much too small and cramped. What bothered us most was the lady who cleared away. There was absolutely no peace and quiet to eat breakfast as she was so hectic and clattered the dishes as if there was no tomorrow. At 9.20am we were asked to finish and leave the tiny room. Conclusion: OK for one night but definitely never again!
