When it's too cold to go to the beach (in the low season), the natural hot springs of Saturnia are only 40km away. The pretty medieval towns of Magliano in Toscana, Capalbio and Manciano are all within a half hour drive. Lots of yummy restaurants! Going towards the sea you can visit Orbetello and Porto Ercole or go to Porto Santo Stefano where you can take the ferry for Isola del Giglio. Beautiful.
