We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Gateway Hotel, Vizag. The property is right across the beach and has an amazing view from the restaurant & bar. This property is 30+ yrs old but location is something to die for...Rooms are comfortable, breakfast spread is good. The best thing about this hotel is the Happy Hours which offers BUY1GET1 at Lawson Lounge until 10 pm. The staff is hospitable, they arranged a special table for us overlooking the sea. At the restaurant, staff accommodated our special request for kids food. The best thing I liked about the hotel was it's transparency. Right at the check-out counter, they have placed a placard stating 5% service charge is optional and u can claim it back. Most hotels hide this information while here we have a hotel that is vocal about it...thoroughly loved it! Areas of improvement: Bathrooms are dimly lit, clothes hanging hook is above the toilet seat which makes it unusable. Note: This property does not have a private beach

Ur rooms are very highly prices. According to price the room was very small and bathroom even smaller. I have paid ₹11,345/- for 1 night. With zero amenities. Instead novotel is far better at this price. Being a Jain, no pure Veg restaurant. We had dine outside . Ur property seriously requires painting works , repair and maintenance to the building. Who gives 2pm check in time. It's ridiculous. The TV Channels were unavailable . U should stop giving plastic water bottles and keep Glass bottles instead. As seen in many hotels in Kerala

This is a location for which u dream for if u prioritise on staying by the beach and yet want to feel the city life of Vizag.... this being my 2nd visit I had seen most of Vizag....so if it was just the casual drives on the streets of the city and Njoying Vizag food on the hot destinations.....We really were blessed that we stayed at Gateway cause all the food destinations were a stone's throw away from this amazing destination.... Amazing brakefast, Amazing room service by Mani (staff) , Amazing pool experience by Mr.Srinivas who took that extra effort to train people whom he wouldn't see the next day..... over all an amazing experience......the affiliation with Taj brand proves the quality of this destination.....Go for it

Extremely delightful stay- Thanks to Srijan at the front desk who assisted us right from checkin till we checked out and ensured we had a comfortable stay. Also, the rooms were comfortable and with an amazing view. My family enjoyed a lot while staying here

Staff at the hotel is warm, friendly and helpful. Buffet Breakfast has good variety and is delicious. Hotel takes care of guest very well. Beach and bay can be seen from the rooms. Beds and pillow are comfortable. All room amenities are available and placed in the room. Bathrooms are neat and clean, though old.
