Villa Maki

We were vey comfortable in the room and the location is fabulous! The owners were lovely and very easy going. The building itself is a bit dated and you can see where renos would help the appeal, but none of it impacted our enjoyment of our stay.

Very friendly Host. Big thanks to Renatta n her husband for their exceptional customer service. Suggestion: replace the bath towels with new ones to make your rental property more appealing.

We stayed here for a week as part of a TUI package holiday and were very pleased we did. Our room (201) was spotlessly clean and well equipped ( Aircon, fridge, Hobb, cable TV, Balcony and hairdryer all included) The room was cleaned daily and towels replaced whenever we requested. Renata the owner speaks perfect English and was very freindly and helpful on all occasions, even helping us to sort local excursions too. Breakfast was included and was served each morning at The Lion restaurant just 30m away. This was excellent too, with a chioce of cooked breakfast options available. Recommend their 'Holland breakfast' as it was particularly nice. Just a couple of small points of note, there is no lift available at the Villa, (help was provided to carry our bags to our room). Also,we had to ask how the shower was operated.

Hotel was basic but clean, had everything you needed. The owner was lovely, friendly and made us feel welcome. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed daily too. Breakfast was amazing just a few minutes away at The Lion. Cooked to order and gave us the opportunity to try breakfast Macedonian style. We would return to this hotel and recommend it.

I enjoyed my recent week's stay here. It's far enough back from the lakeside that you miss a lot of the late noise, while being close enough that you can very quickly walk to it. There's also a minimarket close by, as well as the centre and old town both being within very easy walking distance. While you don't get a lakeside view, the actual view from my rear-balcony still had a distant mountain and well-kept lawns, and the walk to see lakeside is quick as noted. I had the double room with balcony which was spacious enough for me, clean and felt comfortable. You should be aware that if you're on bed and breakfast you may find the 9am start time for breakfast at The Lion is quite late compared to some of the other local hotels, however when you get there the food options and service for breakfast is fantastic. And if you aren't staying for the breakfast it doesn't matter! The owners were also very polite and happy to help with queries, I understand they can also arrange local excurisons although I didn't use this facility as I'd booked mine through Tui. It felt relaxing and homely staying here.
