I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Victory Hotel Vung Tau – New Wing. The views from my room were truly stunning — waking up to those sights every morning was unforgettable. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, especially the beautiful pool with views. The bed was super comfortable, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep. The room was comfortable and clean, and I enjoyed how convenient everything was during my stay. The breakfast was huge and fantastic — there were so many options to suit every taste, and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
The only downsides were a recurring issue with a fire alarm during the night. The alarm sounded several nights in a row, and I had to go down the stairs from a high floor in the middle of the night because the high-volume message in English was impossible to understand. A few other families went down with me, but most guests ignored it. On the stairs, there were no indications of where I was, such as the floor number or the direction to the exit. This definitely needs improvement — guests need to understand the message and have clear guidance for emergency exits. Currently, the situation could become very dangerous if a real fire occurred. Having the alarm go off without a reason could also reduce attention in case of a real emergency, causing people to ignore it when they should evacuate.
There was also a minor smell from the toilet — I mentioned it to reception, and someone checked it, but it wasn’t fully resolved. I managed it by keeping the ventilation on (note: turning off the light connected to the vent made it worse).
Overall, I am very pleased with my experience. I will definitely choose this hotel again if the situation with emergency exits and messages is improved.
Giving 1 star for service due to faulse alarms and emergency exit sitautuion which need urgent attention of the hotel management.
