Tasman Holiday Parks - Ohiwa

We’ve just come to the end of our three night stay and it was absolutely incredible. We stayed in a self-contained cabin that very easily fit our family of 7 and had a beautiful bathroom and kitchen area. If we needed a full oven the communal kitchen was right next door however, we did have two cooking elements in our cabin which was perfect for us. The park facilities were great. The kids loved the playground and spent ample time there. The pool was lukewarm so too cold for us to swim at this time of year but one of our kids did have a quick dip to try it out and he had fun. The camp is right on the shores of the beach which is absolutely stunning. I woke up early one day to watch the sunrise over the beach and then did the Southern Loop walking track through the bush and farmlands with stunning coastal views along the top. The start and end of the walk is at the entrance to the campground which is amazing. We didn’t have any luck with fishing but the weather wasnt great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be coming back.

Great to have sea veiws rite around you with easy living great atmosphere.great for people especially over summer.and make sure not to miss out on seeing glow warms on uphill walking tracks.

Absolutely loved the view from the tourist flat. Amenities were handy, clean and organised . Staff were very helpful and professional. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Found Ohiwa by chance while trying to avoid the bad weather up north. Turned out to be the most enjoyable holiday park I've stayed at in NZ so far. Facilities are perfect, location is great, there is a swimming pool and the fishing off the beach in front if the park was awesome! Will be back

Great location for family holiday

I have to say this park is my hands down favorite we have stayed at. The office staff are super friendly and helpful,the room we stayed in had the comfort bed and the grounds were so well maintained you could probably play golf on them. Watching the sun set on the beach at the end of the day was breathtaking and something that will be remembered. Kids had fun building sandcastles and finding seashells,talking to other friendly campers. The whole ambience of the park makes you never want to leave. We are already planning our next visit
