Hotel Granvia Wakayama

This hotel is super convenient, right outside the central exit of JR Wakayama Station. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Although the room was a bit small, it was quite cozy, and the soundproofing was good – I didn't hear any outside noise at night. When checking in, the front desk staff meticulously confirmed every step and even asked what time would be best for cleaning the next day. Plus, for Chinese travelers, having a hot water kettle is a big bonus, haha! We need hot water to drink every day.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's a mere 2-minute walk from the JR station exit. Plus, there's a large mall right next door with a wide variety of restaurants, a supermarket, and plenty of shopping options. The rooms are clean and the service is attentive. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Great location, right next to the JR station. The room is small, but it's a good value for the price, so no complaints! When I visited, there was also a Binchotan charcoal exhibition. There's a cafe on the ground floor where you can redeem drinks and desserts with the Wakayama Pass.

The facilities are a bit old, but the service is excellent. It's just a two or three-minute walk to the right after exiting the station, and it's connected to the department store.

Fantastic location! Right out of the station on the right-hand side, connected to a shopping mall, so you barely get wet when it rains going to the station. The room was a little on the small side, but the amenities were pretty good.

The room was really small, but thankfully we only stayed one night, so it was bearable. You can tell the room is a bit dated. The location is truly excellent, right next to the subway station. So, if you're not particular about room size, it's actually highly recommended.

There was a Chinese-speaking uncle at the front desk who gave me very detailed instructions via email on how to get to the hotel from the airport. He also recommended nearby attractions, which I really appreciated! I went on the Tama Densha train and also visited a huge Montbell store. I'll definitely come back to Wakayama!
