Location is perfect when planning to visit the Washington DC highlights. Room is clean but compact, staff is okay.

I enjoyed the staff and the lounge areas. My room was not the cleanest upon arrival and the iPad was broken. I felt safe but due to it not being as clean as I’d like, I don’t think I’d be returning. I recommend staying if you are alone and need an affordable place to stay.

Everyone that works at the hotel is wonderful. Very nice and very helpful! I also noticed anything anyone needed they were right on it. The hotel room was cool. You could control the lights, shades, tv, and more with a tablet. However, it lacked in comfort. The sheets and blankets were very rough and it was hard to get comfortable.

Checkin was easy and the room was clean and very comfortable. The location of the hotel was great and everything was in walking distance. I would happily stay again.

I was amazed at how quiet ii was. My room was perfect for my 5 night stay. Breakfast buffet was well worth it if you like to start your day with a big breakfast. The hotel was an easy short walk to the Metro and easy walk to many sights along the Mall.

If you are on the fence about booking this hotel here’s your sign to do it! My sister and I stayed at this property and loved it! The rooms are compact but so intentional with how everything is placed and organized. It was perfect! The aesthetic is top notch. You control your room settings from an iPad. I was truly impressed with this place. Also for a place like DC where you are exploring most of the day this is a great spot. We got the best sleep with their night shades. The common rooms are great too! You can lounge and hang out. We actually watched the super-bowl at one of the common rooms and it was super fun!

This is a pretty unique hotel. The main draw is their idea of "affordable luxury". The room itself is nice. It is just a bed, a desk, and a bathroom. The bar itself is okay. I found the service to be incredibly slow and a bit lacking. This is especially true for the lobby desk. You can stand there for 5 or 10 minutes and not get acknowledged. It was such a hassle to have my luggage stores or to ask for anything because it took so long. Finally, the main thing that makes this hotel bad is the iPad. Every room is controlled by an iPad which is great, in theory. However they are clunky and slow. Mine stopped working entirely on day two and made the process of watching TV and turning on the lights difficult. Overall, this place is totally okay but I would probably not stay again.

I absolutely love staying at CitizenM. It’s always clean, quiet, warm, smells amazing and is aesthetically pleasing and fun to be in. The beds are amazing, the comforters are amazing, the huge picture windows are (you guessed it) amazing, I could go on and on about all the wonderful attributes. I will be a lifelong guest!
