Be aware that the air conditioner cannot be changed from heat to cold or cold to heat, and arrive dressed accordingly... The building has a definition on the type of AC and it is impossible to adjust it in every room. We were on cold days but it was not possible to turn on the heating because the type of AC in the building is cold, so we were very cold at night. The hotel staff had no solution but to bring us blankets.

We liked the location. It was convenient to a grocery, restaurants, and to the White House and other tourism areas. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The hotel felt tired and in need of a facelift with flooring, wall coverings, bathroom and kitchen fixtures. However, the bedding and towels were of nice quality.

The building is so old that the whole building is on either AC or Heating. Therefore, no heat in our rooms when the room is 60F and freezing cold. The carpets were so dirty and bathroom, kitchen, and door are so old, it was not great.

My first irate review ever Some places have a business strategy that the profit from overbooking the place is higher than the cost of poor reviews when travelers are rejected due to overbooking. To fulfill my purpose in this strategy, I hereby contribute my poor report as I was moved from my booked location (near my meeting commitments) to another location on the other side of town. It was 2 in the morning when I arrived and was informed, and I would spend $100s on taxis extra due to this “we have oversold” strategy. Why not 1 star? Staff was very civil, and the gym was really good. Maybe 1.5 as then apartment decor matched the stylishness of the Chernobyl TV series, in terms of designer affection and engagement. This is my first irate review ever, but as mentioned, that is likely a consideration by the company running the venues.
