The decor is classic American style. The room is small, but the bathroom is spacious. The sheets are clean, and the bed is double-sized. Hot water and coffee are available on the ground floor. It's close to the White House and museums. Washington, D.C. is much quieter than New York, with fewer people dressed in outrageous attire. New Yorkers are welcoming, while Washingtonians are polite, though there are certainly plenty of arrogant white people. Don't underestimate the black men and women in stores and at the train station; those who work hard deserve respect and are often more helpful.

The room are extremely outdated and SMALL. Bathroom seemed larger than the room itself. The power in the room when out three times is while using the blow dryer. There was a spider on our bed and that freaked us out, weren’t sure if there were more. Front desk was helpful and kind despite the issues we had. Ice machine was in the basement and just didn’t seem hygienic.

Great location. The hotel is cozy and the rooms have enough space to be comfortable. Perfect if you’re spending most of your day exploring and just want to sleep in the hotel

We liked the location (we were able to store our luggage when we checked out at the UPS Store across the street). Yes, the rooms are small, but they were comfortable and had a uniqueness that reminded us of days gone by…Would definitely stay there again.

The staff was very nice. My room was always clean, but the bed was uncomfortable. Very little amenities. It was close to everything I needed. Very walkable.
