Love this hotel! Paradise! Huge pool, amazing room, private beach! 2 fantastic restaurants including famous Lichthaus. Staff is very kind. Great reservations manager Eunice.

Stayed for a few days at Temple Point, beautiful place in a serene setting, quiet ocean beaches on one side and the creek on the other side. Well quipped gym and lush gardens if they get more water. Rooms were small and interior a bit outdated, bit more attention and updates would be nice. Breakfast buffet was ok but very limited choice, even fresh fruit which is plenty outside was limited to water melon. Service was friendly but very slow and it was even low season with only a few guests at the hotel. A la carte menu is limited but pricey. Diani or Lamu would be better next time.

We had a disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff are not friendly, when asked for assistance they direct you to reception. The Chef was not very receptive to our gluten free meal requests, it was a battle to get him to do a special meal of cookies and pancakes just for breakfast but finally after the second day we got to some understanding. The facilities are poorly maintained with pools dirty and not usable. One of our rooms did not have a hair dryer. The climax was a request for tomato sauce and we got an omelette with tomatoes. The omelette station chef did not know what's a Spanish omelette, seriously. We asked to see the manager on our second day but he was not available. He only came to see us when we were checking out , that even after we made a comment that the manage has not made an effort to meet us. In his opinion the staff were handling us well and he did not have to meet with us. He said he does not make his presence felt to the guests when he has staff handling them. Terrible experience all in all. Don't plan to stay here again neither recommend anyone to do so.

The experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. • The restroom next to the restaurant was stinking when we checked in, which set a very poor tone. • For our planned event, the canapés were not only served late—the servers had actually forgotten to serve them. • Dinner service was completely disorganized: the rice, which was meant to accompany the main dish, was inexplicably served later alongside dessert. • The front desk team seemed clueless about handling a group of 19 people who were there for a special occasion, and no concierge or dedicated person was assigned to our group. • Food quality was consistently below expectations: the “fresh” juice was not fresh, the French fries served during the event were dry as paper, and the day after the event we were served cold fish straight from the fridge. The lack of professionalism extended to the atmosphere as well—the hotel was still cluttered with props from a previous event that looked hideous and out of place. The overall food and service were a failure, which is a shame for anyone who values the warmth and excellence usually associated with Kenyan hospitality. The nonchalant attitude of the manager, Ciarra, and her team only deepened the disappointment. The only redeeming aspects of our stay were the excellent service from Beth, and the yoga sessions with Maurice and Molly at Lietchhouse.

Temple Point is a beautiful and grand resort. With two pools and private beach, there's plenty of options for swimming and lounging. The staff in the restaurants and bars were super friendly and the Sunset Dhow and Half Day Mida Creek snorkel adventures were amazing! Well organized with plenty of drinks and snacks! There were some miscommunications with reception but the guest experience team were on top of it when flagged. We also had an odd incident with housekeeping coming into the room after we were sleeping but we did alert the staff and it did not happen again. Shoutout to Beth, Simon, and Charlotte for being so friendly and helpful!

The hotel is huge with a beautiful quiet beachfront. The bar with a nice view of the sunset is just too good. The stuff were very friendly too. If you want to be in touch with nature, this is the place to be. Food, we only had breakfast and it wasn’t as expected for the price you pay. Overall a nice experience

We had decided for NYE we wanted to do something special and we had been seeing a lot of Temple Point on Instagram and knew that that was the place for us to be for our New Year break. We live in Kenya and know the coast well but wanted to try somewhere new. Keeping it brief, we paid for the Deluxe room which promises a lot and I can confirm there is no need to pay for a more expensive room as they are all practically the same (there is no VIP check in and check out, there is no entertainment system, no executive lounge or facilities, no separate living room basically everything on the website is false information and not as you will receive the room). As soon as we were given our room we assumed there must have been a mistake and they simply gave us the wrong room, to our complete shock they advised that this is the room we paid for. Naturally we were not happy and spoke to Eunice, who advised us that the photos online are only 2-3 of the rooms, they are not all like that and we have been given a room that is not photographed. She also found it appropriate to laugh at us when we were showing her what was explained on the website, and that is what we went by when making our booking. It is categorically unlawful to state all Deluxe rooms come with these things and views and then give a room which quite frankly is the worst I have stayed in within Kenya. There was no compromise from the team until our third day when they said we could move rooms but at this stage we only had 2 more days left and quite frankly there was no point in doing so. Putting the room aside, throughout the resort it is dated and not well maintained and you can see all they have invested in is the Gym and Lichthaus (both which are great, no arguments there), it is a hotel which needs attention urgently. The staff everyday would ask us to pay for breakfast when we were on a half board, and everyday it would be the same frustrating conversation. There is no accountability by anyone in the resort, a simple apology and acknowledgment of false advertising would have gone a long way. Don't make the same mistake as us, and there are much much much better hotels in Watamu to stay in.

Temple point is an amazing place with a very friendly staff. Enjoy the day by the pool or at the private beach and watch the sunset from Lichthouse can be the perfect match for an amazing day. They also offer excellent spa experiences and the food in all restaurants is absolutely fantastic.
