Treacy’s Hotel Spa & Leisure Club Waterford

Nice room, ok service, nothing remarkable. Clean and convenient, the restaurant has a nice variety and good service. Not much in the way of amenities, but all in all it was quite cosy and comfortable.

Alot of people give bad reviews of this hotel. Its a basic hotel that lives up to its 3 star rating . Hotel rooms clean , basic hot breakfast , lovely coffee maker . The head staff member at breakfast is lovely and is a good breakfast manager . I stay 3/4 times a year visiting family in Waterford , I normally get a good hotel rate. The hotel is on the door step to Waterford City and has a a park one blocks up which is normal for a city Centre hotel ( hence all the negative comments about this car park ). Some city Centre hotels charge a rate. I hope my room request for my June happens !

This was our second time at hotel and the first time with the kids, kids club cancelled one evening and both mornings we were there, restaurant food was a complete disaster, family room a safety hazard bunk bed boards broken exposing screws

We stayed in hotel as a family of 4 for 2nights. We got a deal for b&b & 3 course meal for the adults & a reduced rate for the children. The food and the service in the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast was standard as in most hotels. The room was nice & big with fresh towels daily & ample tea & coffee facilities. The pool was a nice size but there was no Shower gel in the showers. Overall I enjoyed my stayed my stay & would recommend this hotel.

HI. This was our second visit to Treacys in Waterford and our experience was even better than before. checking in was fast and room was large, warm and hosted an extra large king size bed. both breakfast and dinner were superb with plenty of choices and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. there was entertainment on both nights which proved very popular with both guests and locals. the only downside was when checking out our car parki was to be validated at reception but receptionist said there was a problem at their end but advised me to press green button at barrier and this should leave us out and if this fails to press button for assistance but got no reply. there were a number of impatient motorists in queue behind waiting to exit so i had no option to pay 15 euro to lift barrier so i hope hotel will reimburse me for same. otherwise we had a lovey time with lots to do and see within walking distance of hotel which is ideally situated.

We stayed at Treacy's Waterford Sunday night, everything was just perfect, meal was excellent,rooms great size, staff went out of there way from start to finish. They could not of been any nicer to the 4 children. So much the kids wasn't us to book it again. 😂

Rooms were comfortable, food was nice, great value for money however kids play area very run down in need of repair, swimming pool warm jacuzzi and spa areas nice… changing rooms very small not a lot of room for families to change

Stayed in Treacys for 2 nights. There was a good deal on for 2 nights with B&B as well as a 3 course evening meal. The hotel provides free parking in a shared multi-story a 5-10 minute walk away. Ample parking but it's busy to get into at peak times. Hotel is nice and clean. There were a tiler on our floor working in the rooms up to ours when we arrived. We did mention it twice to reception who had thought they'd left & by 10pm they were gone for the weekend. The 3 course meal was lovely, we ate a bit late so it did feel a bit rushed but the food itself as well as the attentive staff could not be faulted. We had a nice room overlooking the river. It's facing onto a busy main road so traffic noise is to be expected. TV in our room had free-to-air channels. Beds were comfortable, and room was clean. Ample soaps & tea/coffee making facilities were provided. Also had an iron & iron board as well as a fan if needed. Bar had live music both nights, drinks were hotel prices. Services as good and staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok. There was a choice of serials as well as a variety of milks. There was a choice of fresh fruit and yogurts as well as a hot breakfast buffet .I found the hot-breakfast was nice but some of it had dried out with the heat-lamps. The porridge was pureed but that could be a style of porridge I'm unaccustomed to. One had to request toast which was fine but I should have asked if there were any jams available as none were available in the buffet area. Also there wasn't any select of pastries for people who may not want to have a fry. I didn't ask if pancakes were available but it wasn't mentioned that anything other than what was on display was available outside of toast. Waterford is a lovely city for walking in and the hotel while not in the heart of the city is in a great location where one can walk along the street to Reginalds tower in 15 minutes and then from the Viking Triangle you're into the main square in a few more minutes. I'd stay again which is probably the best recommendation I could give. We had a lovely time & there is a lot to see and do around Waterford. The deal we got in Treacys as well as it's location was the prime reason for us choosing that location and we are glad we did.

Rooms are smaller than it looks . Breakfast very disappointing. Too pricey for what you get it . Check out is too late. The car parking is not on the building . Not too far but still disappointing . The bar is great . Lovely atmosphere . Service is great .
