The Dyehouse

Couldn't recommend this guesthouse more. We stayed in the family room with our 8 yo twins. The venue was stunning and our room equally. Within walking distance of the city centre. Liz and Ollie, our hosts were lovely too. Brought us up freshly popped popcorn for the kids when we arrived back after dinner , which was perfect timing as we were settling in to watch a movie. Continental breakfast was included. Freshly baked pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt and toast. As much as we wanted. 5 star service at a price that was a fraction of any of the neighbouring hotels.

Waterford was our first stop on a driving tour. This is a quirky hotel with bright colours everywhere and two very friendly and welcoming hosts, Liz and Ollie, who offered great advice about the city. We stayed in the family room which had twin beds with a double bed on an upper floor with a very steep staircase which we thought might be dangerous during the night. There was no en-suite bathroom but the nearby facilities were beautifully kitted out and included a jacuzzi. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room although they were available in the reception area. Breakfast was continental and tasty. The hotel is in a great location at one end of the waterfront road. Overall the hotel offers great value for money and a friendly welcome with the only drawback being the lack of en-suite facilities.
