Hotel charged me cash for a points-only reservation that I had cancelled ahead of time. Elite status means nothing to these guys. I've held top-level statuses with IHG, Hilton, and multiple hotel chains across the years, and I've never encountered a hotel so inflexible with cancellations. Moreover, they charged my card when I made the reservation with points. This group also operates the Holiday Inn near the airport, and will not be staying at either property in the future.
