I have fallen in love with this hostel. It was very clean & conveniently located in the centre of this New Zealand 🇳🇿 capital. Receptionist were accommodating & approachable.

Worst Haka House I stayed. I booked a 2 bed dorms and as soon as I entered I felt sick from the dust and dirt. Went back to the reception to ask for help and I was literally undermined in front of all the other guests to then heard that the room has been properly cleaned because the other guest has stayed there long time. Absurd!

The kitchen and lounge were spacious and clean.
On the other hand, the rooms were small and poorly ventilated, and there was no air conditioning, so it was difficult to spend time in them.（eight-person room）

Shared facilities, particularly the kitchen, were filthy, the hostel needs a better system for cleaning. Room lacked ventilation, needs a fan or something as the room was stuffy even with windows open.
Room was clean, bed was comfy and location was great.
