Welwyn Garden City

Stayed over the Easter weekend with a toddler and couldn't fault this hotel. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and polite. Receptionists actively engage with guests and wave hello and goodbye. Our most standout moment was at breakfast on Easter Saturday (the lady wearing the purple tshirt) who couldn't have been more helpful, offering to heat up pancakes for our little one and much more. She is an amazing asset to the hotel and was brilliant with all of the guests, even ones that weren't being quite so nice to her. Room was clean and quiet. Location of the hotel is great too, a short walk into the town centre and easy access to Hatfield and beyond. Will definitely be returning!

Nice location, friendly staff. Quite busy at breakfast time but reasonably quiet at night. Lovely relaxing evening meal after a busy day. I had the meal package. Good wifi connection, I was able to do some work.

Highly recommend property was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. I driven 200 miles and wanted a good nights rest as I had another 150 to do the next day. Had a good breakfast in the morning and felt well rested for travelling onward. Would recommend this hotel all day long

Great stay The hotel reception staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We stayed in a standard family room which was great, nice comfortable beds, lovely bathroom, large tv on the wall, tea & coffee Making facilities, nice and warm but there was a large fan if you needed it. The room was very clean. The beefeater restaurant attached was wonderful, the staff were so lovely and the food was amazing, the following morning breakfast was fantastic choice, from fresh pastries, pancakes, crumpets, fruit, yogurt, cereals and toast. Lots of jams, and other spread and a brilliant choice of cooked items and it wasn’t too much trouble to make me 2 freshly perfectly cooked poached eggs. It really was a great night away.

I’ve been to a number of Premier Inns over the years and sadly this was a bit of a let down. The interior is looking tired. The heating in my room was broken- the staff were helpful and provided an electric radiator. Bar/restaurant was busy with too few staff and could not serve any draught drinks the night I stayed so I ended up getting my dinner from the service station across the road. At breakfast, too few staff- I was directed to a table that hadn’t been cleared so ended up having to find somewhere else to eat. Bed was comfortable and I had a good night’s sleep but next time I’m in the area I’ll look elsewhere

I've stayed at this hotel many times as a base for visiting friends in the area and going into London. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is nice and clean. It is however in need of a lick of paint and a bathroom replacement is overdue imo. It's so very convenient and the price is good if you can get a deal so I will continue to stay. Would really like to see a room update.

Just needed a bed for the night and this Premier inn fitted the bill. Clean,tidy and quiet. Breakfast was good. I have never stayed in a bad Premier Inn and this one was as good as ever. Normally my first choice for this sort of stay.

Poor and understaffed, Long waits at check in, at the bar for drinks, for our table and food. limited menu on offer. poor quality service and food. Overall very disappointing. I will not be staying at this site again.

We booked as a real last minute nights stay because we were on our way home with a very long journey ahead and our 3/12 old twins wouldn’t settle in the car. The reception staff were amazing offering a travel cot and generally being around if we needed them. We all had the best nights sleep. In the morning I tried to have breakfast with the twins but they weren’t having any of it. The staff were so lovely, brought me over tea and offered to cut my food up for me so I could eat. I arrived late and completely outstayed my welcome but the staff were so accommodating and made me feel really calm despite two screaming babies! I can’t thank you all enough for your amazing service.
