Hands down, this is a very lovely hotel and is the most glittering gem in Lucerne.
The place is…..
- located in a vantage point that commands a superb view of the lake
- nice and comfortable that puts it on the pedestal in the same league;
- squeaky clean and spick and span;
- very comfortable bed that you are mollycoddled, from the very first moment you hit the sack;
- quiet and reclusive, and conveniences are a stone's throw away;
- Facilities just as described

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center and offers free bus passes for guests. The front desk staff were friendly, and although my room didn’t have air conditioning, a fan was provided. With the current weather, it was still comfortable without AC, and to be fair, the website did mention this in the room amenities. However, I felt the price I paid was a little high for what was offered.

One of the best and most price-friendly hotels I have ever seen in Switzerland. Spotless facility, breathtaking view facing the Luzern lake, accessible location, good for people like me who prefer tranquility + view. Would definitely revisit if passing by.

After checking in, I went out to charge my car. I returned two hours later, in the evening, to find my room only had screen curtains. It was facing the lake, next to the road, noisy, and extremely small.
The receptionist bluntly stated, "It's very common in Switzerland to have rooms without sunshades. If you insist on changing, we can move you to a lower-class standard room, not a lake view room." The manager came to handle the situation, and he said, "Since you've already been there for three hours, we can't move you. We can waive the 20 franc parking fee." The two receptionists were completely expressionless and rude. Because of the brightness and noise, I barely slept for two hours, and the hotel offered no apology or comfort. I couldn't convince the receptionist in English, so I was forced to accept the breakfast and parking fee.

I booked this hotel for the lake view, but it was cloudy in winter and the view was not very good. Plus it was cold, I felt that booking a lake view room did not meet my expectations. The hotel breakfast was simple.
