Great Experience
I liked the place. They take their business really serious. A bit old fashioned and that makes the charm of this hotel. When I arrived on a late Sunday afternoon, the manager on duty insisted to personally show me around and to explain all the features of the hotel to me. I stayed for three days and had a great time. The restaurant is a bit pricey but offers excellent food.

Lovely 3-night stay in this great hotel located in an old building with character by the beach. Personnel are supper attentive and pay great attention to detail. Facilities include gym, swimming pool and a spa area with saunas. Great breakfast experience with varied buffet and a la carte options.

Guests SMOKE in the bar; guests SMOKE in the rooms. Everything smells of smoke. Terrible! Not to be recommended. Had we known it, we would not have made the reservation. However, service is alright. Unbelievable: The four cars of owner's family are permanently blocking the parking space for the guests. It seems that everything is stagnant, possibly because owner's family, smokers themselves, are stagnant (and arrogant?). We left very disappointed.

Strandlage mit Blick auf Mülltonnen und Mauern, renovierungsbedürftige Zimmer und Personal, welches völlig ungeschult in punkto Gastfreundschaft ist. Weniger geht nicht. Schade. Es könnte toll sein. Angestaubte Tradition mit unfreundlichem Personal in schmutizgen, alten, schwarzen Uniformen.

Der Empfang ist sehr freundlich und effizient. Das Personal, insbesondere der Chef Restaurant (Herr Heuer) ist perfekt. Alte Schule mit einem guten Schuss Humor. Das Zimmer ok, nicht sehr gross wie auch das Badezimmer klein, aber mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Die Betten sind ausgezeichnet, alles sehr sauber. Das Frühstück, teils Buffet, teils à la carte, ist vielseitig und von bester Qualität. Nicht 5-Sterne verdienen W-Lan, sehr langsam, TV nicht funktionstüchtig und dies während einer Woche. Sauna nicht benützbar, da keine Duschen funktionieren und das Dampfbad defekt. Sollte auf diesem Niveau nicht passieren. Generell ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen und würde eine Auffrischung verdienen. Preis-Leistung m.E. nicht ok.

Tolles Hotel mit einmaliger Lage, das allerdings etwas „in die Jahre“ gekommen ist. Hier müsste mal Geld für notwendige Renovierungen in die Hand genommen werden. Dass sich Gäste über den Zigarettenqualm echauffieren verstehe ich nicht. Herr Kreis darf doch in seinem eigenen Haus rauchen. 😇. Über seine zeitweilige Arroganz muss man eben auch wohlwollend hinweg schauen. Dennoch wird an der Preisschraube m.E. zu überdreht agiert. Muss ein einfacher Espresso - wie gesagt ein einfacher Espresso - 4.20€ kosten ? Das halte ich doch für völlig überzogen. Und bitte keine Kleiderbügel aus Plastik mehr. Das gehört sich für ein 5* Hotel nicht.
