There were power cuts (it happens) but the back up generator was broken so we had no electricity and no water (the water is electric powered by a pump). The manager couldn’t care less. No one offered us torches or checked we had water, despite the fact we were travelling with a baby. This went on for nearly 36 hours. We were offered only a meagre cold buffet on offer at breakfast due to the power outage, despite other guests having full breakfasts as they were told it was possible to cook on gas- I’m unsure why we were treated less favourably. The second day only one of our breakfast orders was delivered to the table, the other was forgotten about. We went to the restaurant for lunch- very uninspired menu and so average we didn’t venture there for dinner. The self catering apartment is not fully functional. There are beds for 4 but only a table and chairs for 2. There are no sharp knives or baking trays, as well as no outdoor bbq area. The only outdoor seating is two chairs next to where the car is parked. The price they are charging for family friendly luxury is outrageous if there is no electricity and no water with no contingency plan. Considering this is the price of 3 nights elsewhere, I would consider booking a different hotel.
