Old Colonial, Weston-Super-Mare by Marston's Inns

Beautiful & well located hotel. The service and bar downstairs were also both incredible.

We found it expensive considering that there was no breakfast included in what we payed.also there was a mix up on our booking they had got the wrong dates when we tried too sort it out the staff weren't very helpful. We eat at the property and the food was not very nice we had pie and chips and you could not put your knife in the pie it was hard won't be going back

Staff were lovely, food acceptable, hotel needs some repairs and cleaning, but the bed was comfortable

Friendly staff, great location, had the basics and did a reasonable job. The building is tired, and needs refurbishment, but if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful it’s fine. Negatives: cleanliness in public areas was not great, I wouldn’t have eaten there Positives: friendly staff and positioning was ideal, free parking, and room was sufficient. Worth noting there did not appear to be chargers which worked while I was there but charging on the M5 is really good.

Bar person checked me in, she was very efficient. Excellent position on sea front. Room 5 bathroom was unheated thus was chilly, plus the window wouldn't close properly. I wouldn't want to use this room in the winter. View from bedroom window was of a flat roof, and a sandbag, not great.

Such an amazing hotel, staff are all friendly and helpful, car park designated for guests around the back. Drinks and food prices are ideal and you get an amazing view of the beach and pier from the beer garden, second time staying here and I cannot wait to return 😊😊 P.S the loaded fries with bbq pulled pork is a must!!! Definitely a sharer size though and those bbq wings are so succulent

Out of season so not much going hotel is a little dated but decent value for money

The room was very spacious and well appointed. We didn't pay for a sea view but were kindly given one. The breakfast was very tasty and well presented. There was a good choice on the menu in the bar but we didn't have dinner in the pub. Other guests said the Sunday lunch was of good quality. The negatives were that the shower was very old and poorly maintained. The water dribbled out of the shower. Hence as we were only staying for 2nights we had no shower, although my husband had a part wash on the first night. We couldn't have a bath as there was no plug. The walls were also not soundproofed between all rooms, so guests could hear noises and conversations of others All staff were friendly.

The room was very clean and large. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is available by entering the Melrose Car Park. Although they have limited places available we did not experience any issues finding a space. The food was excellent. We had a sea view with some amazing views over the beach and the Sun Sets are simply breathtaking from the room. The shower could do with a little more pressure but OK. Bathroom was clean and spacious.
